Saturday is a pretty epic sports day. Sox at 1, Bruins and Masters at 3, Celtics at 6, NCAA Frozen Four Championship at night. I'm sure I'm missing something else too.

Been a few years(2013, won by Adam Scott on the 2nd sudden death playoff hole) since The Masters has come down to the final hole.

Last year was crazy, of course. Spieth was walking away with it and then he dumped a few balls in the water and Willet ran away with it. But it was never close at the end. Still, I'm hoping for a tight finish, nothing better than a back nine battle at Augusta.

Where it rains. No, seriously.
Weather Thu-Fri is cold and damp, weekend looking better so far, best weather Sunday afternoon.

Have a feeling a 63 is in the cards.

Favorite week of the year.

Edit: Nantz already has a rock hard boner thinking about Phil winning this at age 46.

I'm in a 4 majors pool-pick 4 guys per major, can't use same guy twice. Payouts for each tourney plus the overall. $100 per entry. I think last year we had like 80-90 people. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll forward you the email link.

If anybody's going Augusta is probably going to get wrecked by severe weather tomorrow after getting wrecked yesterday too. If nothing else, the course is going to be soft and slow.

Somewhat off topic, but as Golf Channel is blending them. The Nickalus documentary starts Sunday night, with Selleck narrating. Hard to believe Tom Selleck is only 5 years younger than Jack. Seems more like it was 15-20

They are apparently reopening the course in a couple minutes. Looking at the radar they might get 5 hours of not thunder, but of course they could start to bubble up at any time, as the is still activity 60 miles west, but that is headed north

Augusta is in a high risk of severe weather the rest of the day - could be damaging tornadoes or any other mode of it.

Just watching the Tiger special from 1997, and I definitely didn't remember he was paired with Azinger in the second round, and not Faldo again. I assume they repaired after round one back then? When did this end?

I relate. I head up a group "Sons of Hootie Johnson" and the entire board only covers everyone's frustration with the TV coverage. Or lack thereof. Players tee off tomorrow at 8am. Actual TV coverage begins at 3pm.

Ok.
Once again Canada is kicking our asses...

Forecast is cold and windy today. Temps top out in the low 70's and 20-30 mph wind with gusts that could go up to 40 mph.

Let's get this thing started. Giddy up.

Edit: here are the pin placements

I would think 40 mph gusts will cause oscillation on the greens, at a minimum, and might mean a delay. Sunset in Augusta is at 7:52 - will the final groups finish today?

Meanwhile, I am pretty sure DJ pulls it together to play today, but it made me switch up my DraftKings picks anyway - can't risk spending top dollar on someone who may WD. Real question is what does "falling on the stairs" really mean?

Absolutely. I'm getting a "Tiger on Thanksgiving" vibe from this story. DJ is a legitimately awesome athlete, with strong legs and impeccable balance, it's hard to see him falling down the stairs in any situation.
