The Slums of Shaolin
Here are the rules:

1) This, of course, will be serpentine style. If anyone is unfamiliar with that, it means in the even numbered rounds we go reverse order. So in round one we go 1-20, round two we go 20-1, round three is 1-20 and so forth.

2) I will post the draft order in the next post. What I did was have The 4 Peters e-mail me a random order of the participants while I ran 1-20 in a random sequence generator, then assigned the numbers to each name.

3) We’ll give each person 24 hours to make their pick. **Little change this year** As best I can, I will notify someone when they are on the clock via PM, e-mail or text. I encourage everyone to PM me their preferred method of contact. If after 12 hours nobody has made their pick, I’ll send them another PM/Text. If after 24 hours they miss their pick, we will give them the highest available ranked golfer according to the World Golf Rankings ( http://www.owgr.com/ranking ).

4) Please BOLD AND CAPS your pick. This is going to be fun, and thought process on the pick, people busting balls, etc… is all very encouraged. So there is no confusion, BOLD AND CAPS your pick so we know. I've asked BigMike and The Four Peters to help me out with this. If you're mobile and can't BOLD
your selection, mention it in the post and we'll fix it.

5) I’ll do my best to update the team lists in the post #3. This is another thing I'll get help from BM and T$P with. Before you make your pick, please check out who everyone has. Double check by going through the thread. It will start off easy, but get very difficult once we get to round 3 or 4. Sometimes, I won’t be available to update the teams as quick as the picks are coming in. If you pick someone that has already been picked, it is up to you to change your pick . Once you BOLD AND CAPS your pick, that gives the next person permission to pick their player. You will change your pick at any time, but we won’t wait to keep the draft going so you’d be only screwing yourself.

6) Again, after the Colonial and before the Memorial we will have the opportunity to drop one player and add one player. This will be done by going off total points for the season, from last to first. We'll start the week before the Colonial but the changes won't take place until after The Colonial

7) The "If you regularly text the Pro you get to have him on your team" rule. DeathOfTheBambino automatically gets ROB OPPENHEIM as his last pick if he wants him.

The points go as follows:

Winner 15
Playoff Loser 12
2nd (plus ties) 10
3rd-5th (plus ties) 7
6th-10th (plus ties) 5
11th-25th (plus ties) 3
25th-cut line 1

For the match play, even though its once a year, points will be:

2nd round losers 1
Sweet 16 losers 3
Elite 8 losers 5
Final 4 losers 7
Runner Up 10 (12 points for extra holes)
Winner 15

28 non major tournaments--$1400
4 Majors--------------------------$400
Year end most points---------$200
-----------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------$2,000

Ran a quick analysis, only 4 people are drafting within 3 or less spots of their position last year (bostonbeerbelly (0), dave stapleton (2), DOTB (1), and FL4WL3SS (1)). Everyone else is 4 or more spots different. And the 3 top picks this year were the 3 last picks last year. Should make for an interesting draft. Let's do this.

Also like last year, I vote we don't skip anyone in round 1 due to people not realizing the draft has started and not wanting anyone to miss making their first round pick.

I feel like I have been between 8-12 every year. As long as this first round moves fast I should be good, but I leave Thursday AM for a trip with the girlfriend for 5 days, in which hopefully my time on SoSH will be limited.

Nice to get the rare chance to get my favorite player. ( #1 might have more value, but then again I love this guy as a fan)

I actually think Rory is going to have a bigger year than Spieth.
He might, I Love Rory. Obviously the problem with Rory, and a few others is that you are basically mailing in the 8 weeks where he doesn't play. Speith has been more of a grinder (playing every week), but maybe that will change

We can only hope that Spieth, with his $80 trillion dollar year, will use some of that money to pick up some epic tail and start his descent back to earth.

Wow - thought I was going to be stuck with Bubba. Well 8-balls and Gretzky's daughter for the win.

Looks like no repeat champ this year.
Helped carry me to 2nd place last year though. There are a lot worse picks in this spot, and I like him over Bubba and maybe Rickie from people who have been drafted. He's very steady and just racks up points throughout the year.

I'm just screwing around. He's a top 10 pick for sure. Dunno if he's going to be putting any better at his age, which is what he needs to win more, but he'll be solid.

EDIT: And no way he scores more points this year than Rickie.

I could have gone a lot of different directions with this pick, I know there is one guy I probably should have picked but I just can't root for him. First year without dynamite.

Holy crap this has started already. Not good. Underprepared isn't the word. Although prepared didn't exactly work out well last year.

I believe I am the only 0fer in the league since the beginning. I have two potential choices (one young and one old) and I bet I pick the wrong one.
