Can someone explain why Ragland is still available Did I miss something? If some team was willing to take the chance, I'd grab him and Jack and give my team a chance at shoring up the middle of my defense for the next decade. That's how good those two can be if healthy and in the right system.

Trying to find where I saw it, but there was some sort of injury concern with him

Edit: Enlarged aorta is the issue, not an injury

Does anyone else have it in the back of their mind that a Pats trade with Seattle would be awesome right now. Especially if they go the petulant route and just don't turn the pick in tonight to fuck with the tv show.

Paxton Lynch's nickname should be Summer's Eve because I've never seen anyone who looks more like a douche.
Great, he'll make the perfect fucking Bronco, a douchebag I'll hate with the fire of 10,000 suns for years.

Or, he'll wash out of the league, then out of the bottom of the porn industry and be mowing my lawn in three years.

Thanks. Had no idea. If he's medically cleared, and I was a GM for some team with a defense with holes all over the place, I'd take him, and the come back with Jack. If those guys can be healthy, it's a fucking lottery ticket of epic proportions. If not, I don't see how it's a whole lot more risky than taking some other 2nd round talent that has a less than 50/50 shot at being a long term starter in the league anyway.

Props for this. I don't think that either of those two guys are top of the draft prospects.
Not only top of the draft prospects, but ones that teams moving massive amounts of assets in order to get, like it's Andrew Luck sitting there. It's a result of having four months to overthink it. They need to move the draft to February to save these teams from themselves.

“@GregABedard: According to one NFL team, a financial advisor who was fired by Tunsil could also be responsible for the social media leaks.”

My favorite line from one of the scouting reports I read on him was "a poor man's Colin Kaepernick." Oof.
Kaepernick was the best player in the league for half a season and was really good in 2013 too. Obviously he's no longer good, but he was excellent once upon a time.

I've also seen his ceiling compared to Big Ben, so who knows. Elway sound like he LOVES him (and called every team starting at 17 trying to trade up), so I guess I'll just trust Elway and hope for the best. 2016 is going to be all about the D, anyway. Odds of repeating are very long, but we shall see.

edit to add: Lynch still looks like a cock, though. Shocker he grew up in Florida.

Ragland is an old school run-stuffing LB with questions about whether he can cover and/or play 3 downs.

If anyone (who has seen Jack's medical records/examined his knee) thought Jack could be healthy, he'd have gotten selected. But 31 teams with their version of Dr. Awesome have looked at his knee and no one was willing to pull the trigger. I think we have to accept his knee is FUBAR. IF Jack fell into the 2nd round, then Jaylon Smith is falling into Day 3 or even UDFA territory.

Isn't that a little apples-to-oranges, though? Jack has, theoretically anyway, a career-threatening injury - whispers of looming micro-fracture surgery - whereas with Jaylon Smith it could very well be that he only misses 2016. I mean, I guess that's true of both players, but there doesn't have to be a direct correlation. Teams look at each guy's respective medicals and maybe Jack is just ACTUALLY FUBAR and Smith is FU til 2017.

Aren't there rumors of nerve damage with Smith?

I get his point, but Celtics didn't help.
It helped for me (that and the Sox).

Either way, who cares? Anything that sends a little, "fuck you" to Goodell is fine with me. In fact, until the day he retires, that concept holds true.
