So apparently you aren't supposed to drink heavily after you take Tylenol. Did anyone else know this??? Is this common knowledge?
Yes. Acetaminophen is what usually kills people who overdose on painkillers. It breaks the liver. Alcohol does the same, but at a slower rate. Combine them and it can be toxic and fatal. But you have to go at it hard, so you're ok for now.

You would have thought this would have come up in conversation before I was 47.

All vicodin overdoses are due to the acetaminophen. That is why Oxy was supposed to be a super drug. Because it wasn't cut with as much acetaminophen. Instead, people just got extraordinarily addicted.

That said, it might not have come up in your life, I only know about it because I was hooked on vicodin well over a decade ago. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known.

3-3 Ole Miss is still ranked in the Top 25 of both the AP and Coaches' poll. Does it even matter what you do on the field, as long as you play a "tough" (read: SEC) schedule? The Rebels' next two games are on the road against #25 LSU, and at home against Auburn. If Ole Miss loses both of these in close games, will they still be ranked at 3-5?

There are a bunch of odd rankings this week. How does Clemson, who basically lost yesterday if not for an idiot kicker missing a chip shot, stay ahead of the monster that has been UW?? How is Washington State not ranked? How are all the SEC teams not named Alabama ranked 2-7 positions too high??

Whatever.

This all makes sense. My liver does ache a bit today and I was far more drunk than made sense last night. Lesson learned.

I love how the Selection Committee doesn't release its first rankings until late October. The writers and coaches who vote in the regular polls are too invested in their preseason rankings -- A&M is too low (because they weren't ranked prior to the season), and everyone else from the SEC besides Alabama is too high. And as you say, UW is way too low -- they should be #2 or #3, depending on your take on tOSU's performance yesterday.

I don't believe there is a single computer rating system that has UW in the top 3, either. They've played the easiest schedule of the top 5, and with their best win over an unranked Stanford, there's really no reason to think they are better than the teams above them.

They have steamrollered Stanford and Oregon both. I would have no problem whatsoever if they were ranked above tOSU, but I would shit a houseload of bricks if tOSU were below any of the other top 7.

Oregon is awful. They gave up 651 yards to Washington State. The Pac-12 is weak at the top this year. Washington is a nice top 10 team, but not a real contender.

Basically a loss is still a win.

Clemson also beat Louisville who appears to be substantially better than anyone Washington has played so far.

Washington is tough to gauge right now. They beat up on a simply abysmal OOC schedule (3 teams outside the top 120 in the Sagarin rankins). They beat up on a good (but nothing more than good) Stanford team, they destroyed an awful Oregon team, and they needed OT to be a very mediocre Arizona team. If they go undefeated they will make the Final Four, if they lose a game along the way it will be a very tough call.

In terms of Washington St. they have a loss to a good Boise St team at Boise, no shame in that. They also have a loss against an FCS opponent, and that is a hard hill to climb to get rated.
