Sorry to hear about your Dad, j-man but great news that doctors saved him. I'll be praying for a quick and complete recovery.

Obviously it's a loss from a depth perspective but production wise, I don't know how big of a step down it is from Anderson to Booker. Am I correct that Anderson was already losing snaps to him?

If it's really a bone bruise isn't it just a matter of pain tolerance? Am I misremembering that from the Great Gronk Scare of 2015?

Sorry to hear about your dad, J man, but glad he's doing better. Hope all is well.

The key to the broncos success is the Oline. In the two games they lost, the line was horrible. They played well on Monday, though. This offense must run the ball and get short yardage 2nd and 3rd downs to set up everything else.

Ditto with the above - best wishes to your dad for a speedy recovery, and thoughts are with you in this difficult time.

Good luck to your and your dad, J-Man. I was just home taking care of my dad who had a quadruple bypass last week. Your biggest concern will just be making sure he gets a ton of rest, and doesn't try to lift anything while the pain meds still have him feeling relatively good. I'm sure he will make a complete and quick recovery, they've gotten really good at that surgery.

As for your Broncos, I agree that Anderson isn't a huge loss, and I think that Booker might even be a net upgrade.

I like your AFC championship prediction j-man. As long as the Pats play that game in Foxboro I like their chances to head to SB 51
Picking Seattle is an interesting prediction. Dallas looks tough with their O line and RB. I guess if Wilson gets healthy and Jerry Jones somehow manages to stick his nose into a QB controversy, then we could see a rematch of SB 49. I'll sign up for that right now!
Glad to hear your Dad pulled through a really difficult situation. Make sure he follows doctors orders. Eat what they say to eat, rest when they say to rest and exercise when they say it is safe. Best wishes to him for a complete recovery.

As always, take FO playoff odds with a kilo of salt, but they're fun to look at. (edit: Vegas odds might be a better guide but these were the first I thought of and knew where to find.)

NEvSEA is the most probable Super Bowl matchup, at 9%. They are also the two most likely to win their divisions, both at 81.1%. Denver is the most likely AFCW team to win the division, but the field is favored (Den at 45%).

Conference win chances:
AFC:
NE 39%
DEN 20%
BUF 8%
KC 8%
PIT 7%
OAK 6%

NFC:
SEA 23%
MIN 19%
DAL 17%
PHI 13%
ATL 11%
GB 9%

(2nd edit: who used to start the race for the top pick threads? Those were fun and the thread starter's posts were witty.)

next week is huge beat Oakland and 12 wins and a 2 seed is likey

next 2 games are brual then a bye and then 3 games we shouild win then 3 toss-ups

This is a football thread and I should be the last one to be giving life advice, but: that seems wise. Enjoy football for what it is. It is a huge amount of fun yet means nothing compared to the ones we love. Enjoy the fun that is caring about the teams we love; care for real about those that are important.

Okay, enough of that. I was hoping your team would lose today.

Awesome news, J-man!
thanks buddy boy if SEA can stay healhy get bennett back we might have a SB 49 Rematch NBC said Seattle has the worst o-line its Denver by a mile even if denver got to the super bowl i wouild have to favor SEA and DAL right now to me denver its tied with KC for 5th in the NFL

the only thing denver has on NE is pass rush and DB'S play if NE had denver Def they wouild be 19-0 and i mean u had E Sanders in your building in 2013? sign him and u wouild be looked good for a 3-peat right now

the backstory on sanders is in 2014 was about to sign with KC like 2y/15/mil something like that and told the KC front office he was signing elway swoop in and gets him at 2 y 11.5 because of manning

I haven't posted in this thread in ages as I've had a hard time figuring out how good I think Denver really is this year.

I've been pessimistic and then swung back to optimistic almost on a weekly basis. The defense remains top notch (although significantly worse against RBs this year than last) and that has made it hard to predict how much the D can cover up a shaky offense.

As of the loss today, though, I am now pretty confident that Denver's dogshit O-Line is going to keep them out of the playoffs (or if they squeak in it will keep them from going far). All the offensive issues rise from the shit line play. No running game, constant pressure on the QB, tons and tons of 3-and-outs... all on the line.

CJ Anderson might be getting a bit more success if he was healthy, but probably not enough to matter.

I have liked what I see from Siemian as far as growth goes. I think he will likely go into next season as the starter (Lynch has not looked like a dude ready to grab the starter role) and if the OL can be retooled, I think Siemian might be an above-average QB who could give the O enough to win a lot of games.

The end of this season will be against the best 3 AFC teams. The Broncos may lose out. Rebuilding the offense this season didn't work well enough. They would probably be 4-9 or so were it not for the Defense. Not Denver's year, but thank god for SB50.

while spike is 90% right

2 plays define denver in 16
1 kubiak no punt aga KC that would had put a lock on the 6 spot
2 Folwer easy catch td drop aga tenn

i think denver will go 10-6 11-5 if they win sunday

but being the 6 seed pitt is denver toughest matchup other than NE
ben will score over 30 or bell will run for over 200 yards

at worse denver wouild be 6-7 only lucky wins were CAR @NO

the 2017 offseason with 10 starters back on def all ex sly williams as long as wade does not retire we will be fine

denver needs 3 OL Starters

what i wouild do with about 30 mil in space for 2017 and 7 mil for 2016
cut okung saves 10'1 mil cut V Green saves 2.3 mil cut WR M Brown saves 775 k cut gause 540 k cut b turner 794k dead money is 1.3 mil

this wouild give denver about 50 mil to spend
sign A Wentworth Ciny 3 y 21 mil
sigh TJ Lang GB 5Y 30 MIL
trade for joe staley sf giveing our 2
sign G Escobar dal 1 y 1.5 sign te J Cook gb 1y 2 mil sign Kimar aiken balt 2y 6.5 mil sign D Woodhead 1y 2 mil sign D Poe KC 3Y 27 MIL re-sign v walker 1 y 1.5 mil add Gdorsey SF 1Y 2 MIL re-sign K Webster 2y 7 mil

lineup wouild be
QB Simean lynch
RB CJ Woodhead booker
fb Jankioch
WR DT Sanders aiken folwer
TE Deaby cook escobar
LT Wentworth
LG Lang
C Pardells
RG Schofiled /steveson
RT Staley
LE Wolfe dorsey
DT POE
RE Walker/crick
LOLB MILLER
MLB Marshall davis/nelson
ROLB Ray Barnett might be filped for a 2nd or 3rd
CB TAILB Harris jr roby webtser
fs stewart simmons
ss ward parks
same k/p

I think Wentworth and Poe get offered a boat load more money then 3/27 each.

I suppose in Wentworths case chasing a ring might make him slightly more reasonable, but even still I see you scenario as remote.

J Man, you think Talib is going to be on the roster next year without a restructure? He's got a $12m cap hit, and $2m in dead money if he's cut. He'll be 31. I don't see him playing for that with all the issues he brings both on and off the field.

Following up on @kelpapa 's question, what kind of year has Talib had? I haven't seen much Broncos football this year but it at least seems as if he's been very good.
