The Slums of Shaolin
Here are the rules:

1) This, of course, will be serpentine style. If anyone is unfamiliar with that, it means in the even numbered rounds we go reverse order. So in round one we go 1-20, round two we go 20-1, round three is 1-20 and so forth.

2) I will post the draft order in the next post. What I did was have DAN1864 e-mail me a random order of the participants while I ran 1-20 in a random sequence generator, then assigned the numbers to each name.

3) We’ll give each person 24 hours to make their pick. **Little change this year**  As best I can, I will notify someone when they are on the clock via PM, e-mail or text.  I encourage everyone to PM me their preferred method of contact.  If after 12 hours nobody has made their pick, I’ll send them another PM/Text. If after 24 hours they miss their pick, we will give them the highest available ranked golfer according to the World Golf Rankings ( http://www.owgr.com/ranking ).

4) Please BOLD AND CAPS your pick. This is going to be fun, and thought process on the pick, people busting balls, etc… is all very encouraged. So there is no confusion, BOLD AND CAPS your pick so we know.  I've asked BigMike and The Four Peters to help me out with this.  If you're mobile and can't BOLD
your selection, mention it in the post and we'll fix it.

5) I’ll do my best to update the team lists in the post #3. This is another thing I'll get help from BM and T$P with.  Before you make your pick, please check out who everyone has. Double check by going through the thread. It will start off easy, but get very difficult once we get to round 3 or 4. Sometimes, I won’t be available to update the teams as quick as the picks are coming in. If you pick someone that has already been picked, it is up to you to change your pick . Once you BOLD AND CAPS your pick, that gives the next person permission to pick their player. You will change your pick at any time, but we won’t wait to keep the draft going so you’d be only screwing yourself.

6) Again, after the Memorial we will have the opportunity to drop one player and add one player. This will be done by going off total points for the season, from last to first.

The points go as follows:

Winner 15
Playoff Loser 12
2nd (plus ties) 10
3rd-5th (plus ties) 7
6th-10th (plus ties) 5
11th-25th (plus ties) 3
25th-cut line 1

For the match play, even though its once a year, points will be:

2nd round losers 1
Sweet 16 losers 3
Elite 8 losers 5
Final 4 losers 7
Runner Up 10 (12 points for extra holes)
Winner 15

28 non major tournaments--$1400
4 Majors--------------------------$400
Year end most points---------$200
-----------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------$2,000

Interested to see how many times I take EZ's guy or he takes mine drafting within 2 spots of each other, we have had similar drafting strategy's other than the whole college alumni one that was part of last year.

Geez, had no idea this had started until just now.  If my pick comes around and I don't check in quickly, someone please feel free to text me at 508-272-0134 to give me a nudge, as I'm most certainly not online nearly as much as I used to be.

Same here, I just realized this started. Not even remotely ready, but that's fine. Might be good to PM/text people that things are up and running, this came out of nowhere. No one should be skipped in the first round I don't think.

I'll be sending out PMs when its people's turns.  Can you help me update the teams post on the first page if I can't get to it?

It really doesn't matter since my first round picks haven't won a tournament for me in either year, but I'll take JUSTIN ROSE.

I'm going to name my team "You're welcome for the $100".

Huh. I don't like him at all. He seems like the nicest guy in the world. It's weird, my distaste for him.

Yeah I really have no idea where my dislike for Kuchar comes from either, but I had no interest in choosing him if he fell to me, for the sole reason of it being hard to root for him.

Kuch seems like a nice guy but is pretty boring.

I don't think his ceiling is all that high, but he plays a lot, hangs around near the top of the leaderboards and has traditionally been good for one win a year.

ouch - harsh words for Kooch - i was fortunate to meet him before he was a pro at the Northeast Amateur. I was a caddy for another player who is on the web.com tour right now and he and kooch were paired for the first two days and ended shooting the same scores so played the 3rd and 4th round together as well. He could not have been a nicer guy in the four days

LOL.  Got Zomp's text right after I made my post.  Kind of a tough call here.  I'm at a loss of whether I go for a guy that plays in a lot of tournaments or go for a guy that plays well in less tournaments.   I'm just going to pick a guy that's middle of the road on those two fronts and I like rooting for:

Bubba Watson

Nuts, was going to pick Watson myself.  Only difference is that I was going to identify him as someone I don't like rooting for.

Going with a guy who I think is ready to break out this year.

JASON DAY

Edit:  Added all caps.  Want to stay on Zomp's good side.

Bubba's too feast or famine for me. He seems to either win or be a complete non-factor, and usually you know Thursday which way it's going to go for him. All it takes is 1 shot for him to lose his shit and have the wheels fall off. 3 global wins in 2014 though with a major and WGC is pretty impressive though.
