Maybe I missed it, but since when are the playoff games on New Year's Eve? I realize this is only year two, but I am pretty sure they were on New Year's day last year.

They are on NYE because the Rose Bowl is always on Jan 1 at 4:30 and it would interfere with the CFP window.
Sugar Bowl is also contracted to be 8pm Jan 1 under the new bowl deal. The other four bowls can be either day. The only times the semis are on Jan 1 are years when the semis are Rose/Sugar

As an Indiana grad I would like to point out that 2 basketballs schools are playing a football game in a baseball stadium.

I won the inaugural Pick 'Em in 2008 and earned this beautiful trophy, courtesy of Yammer. It's still on my bureau...

I bought a trophy for the next year's winner and then I think that was it.

Alas, I can't find the double cheerleader on a flaming base trophy on Crown's web site anymore.

Tim Thomas' Bunker
So Texas A&M (aka aggy) may lose Kyler Murray after they just lost Kyle Allen, who decided to transfer. Murray may transfer or potentially go back to baseball. This is not good news for Kevin Sumlin, who has struggled to hold onto a quarterback since Kliff Kingsbury and Johnny Football left.

Utah's coach is reported to be as lame a duck as BYU's. If anything, BYU's players should be busting ass to impress their possible new coach...

What have you heard about Whittingham? I haven't seen anything recently.

Appy State rallied from a 17 point 4th Quarter deficit in under 2 minutes against Ohio. Still 11 minutes to go. Both teams have had a spurt where they scored 3 times within 2 minutes in this game.

Arky State has a 3rd and Goal from the 37. It would have been 2nd and Goal from the 47 following a holding penalty, but LaTech declined the penalty.

Any chance Kenneth Dixon will be available at 64? The things BB could do with him are mindblowing.

Extra innings again at Yamkee Stadium. Pinstripe seems to do a good job of matching up opponents who fairly evenly matched and put on overall competitive football games.

Not so sure that FG was good. Pretty much the only possible perfect angle is the one the ref had.

And as I had Duke +2, that's fine by me.

I mean, karma for the miami game I guess but those screen shots don't mean anything - perspective matters
