So college football has better camera angles on the goalline than the NFL does. That's cool.

They just asked Coker if Saban is the best coach ever. What the hell is Coker supposed to say? "Coach Saban is good, but my pee wee coach brought Popsicles to practice."

Some small solace that the end-of-first-half clock fuckery didn't end up mattering.

Clemson lost by 3 mental mistakes: not holding the edge on the kickoff return, not anticipating the possibility of an onside kick (and a textbook-perfect execution at that), and again not setting the edge on the 60-yd run on their final scoring drive. Avoid any one of those and Clemson's offense has a chance to tie or win it. They clearly had the better physical talent on the field tonight, but that's only half the game, 90% of it is mental.

Could have taken a end zone shot. They were in range and should have had a time out left.

So if Clemson could have done 2, or maybe even just 1, of these things, they would have won

Cover Howard
Cover Howard
Tackle Howard
Tackle drake
Prevent onside lob

Given how much pub the need for elite QB play gets, Saban has won his national championships with Matt Mauck, Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron (2x) and now Jake Coker.

That's not exactly a group that screams he should have won five national titles.
