There was a defender behind the goal line I thought?I laughed. Also, offisdes, but pretty much a foul against Firmino, so fair.

The defender that was bodying up Firmino was still half on the pitch, keeping him onside.I laughed. Also, offisdes, but pretty much a foul against Firmino, so fair.
I may have to go back to it at some point, just had to celebrate the Rams back to LA for a while.Good call, my b. Also, I miss your Crouch avatar. Made me laugh every time for some reason.
FYI. Don't think it matters whether he was past the goal line. You remain an "opponent" so long as you're on the defendaning team, and you're deemed to be, for purposes of the offside rule, on the touchline (or goalline) if you crossed it leaving the field, so long as you are eligible to come back on the field without permission of the ref.The defender that was bodying up Firmino was still half on the pitch, keeping him onside.
Correct, but I've seen refs miss it when they are completely off, especially if a player on each team went off. With him sitting right on the end line in full view of the linesman, there was no way they call Lallana offside.FYI. Don't think it matters whether he was past the goal line. Just having a little fun with all the pre-game talk of how both European cup finals were going to feature 2 La Liga teams.
Ah, thanks for the correction. I thought 2 years ago was the first time.Last year was the first year EL winner received auto CL. Sevilla was straight EL previous two wins.
My guess: Last weekend was reserved for last league matches and upcoming weekend is reserved for the cup finals in each country. And I guess every country has more interest in setting the cup finals on a weekend, instead of the Europa League final, as there´s only two teams playing. I don´t know if it could be set up on a weekend, if Sevilla wouldn´t play on 22/05 in the Copa del Rey final vs. Barca. Why is this game today, on a Wednesday, while I have to wait another 10 days for the Champions League final?
And those are just the ones that were in the box. There were more outside it.Klopp telling the ref that he missed two handballs.
Five Spanish teams qualify for UCL: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico, Villarreal, and Sevilla. The first three go directly into the group stage. Villarreal needs to qualify for the group stage through one play-in round. As for Sevilla, the winner of the Europa Championship goes directly into the group stage. How many Spanish teams are qualified for the UCL group stage (5, 4, or 3)? Do Sevilla or Villareal automatically qualify for group stage? Also, does a 3rd Spanish team (Malaga) get to join Europa as a result?
