Justin Rose jus hit a chip that I would have been embarrassed to hit. Brutal shot.

20 year old(TM) Jordan Spieth trying to take another lead in a major.

Half the field is yet to tee off and there are a lot of big names in the afternoon group. Hold your britches.

I ended up throwing $20 on him to win.  I hope your right I will get my money's worth at least having a rooting interest for the next three days.

Bradley is anchoring his putter this week. He had gotten away from it 2 weeks ago.

Luke Donald is well on his way to missing his fourth straight cut in a major.

Bleh. He's awful, on the downside of his career, it looks like. And, MORE IMPORTANT, he's murdering my fantasy team.

Cool to see you guys following Rob today.  He'd get a kick out of it.  He played pretty well today, and felt good out there.  Hit his tee ball well, and if he does the same tomorrow, he has a real chance to make the cut.  He just couldn't get the 10-20 foot birdie putts to fall at all today, which is basically the best part of his game.  He missed one putt today inside 3 feet according to his father, which is really unlike him.  No matter what happens, pretty fucking cool experience, and he certainly didn't embarrass himself, which is very, very easy to do given how this course is set up.  The unfortunate thing is that he teed off at 6:30 a.m. this morning, and that's when you really need to score.  Tomorrow, he's one of the last groups out and the course will have dried out even more and the wind will have picked up.  No idea what the weather report looks like, but an early afternoon shower that slows the greens down would be a like a gift from the golf gods if it were to happen.

Today was a ton of fun. My girlfriend almost took a Jason Day drive off the head, missed by about a foot. Tons of highlights, seeing Spieth birdie 16 may have been the best of the day. The Woodland, Holmes, DeLaet tee shots on 14 were a close 2nd.

My first time going to any PGA event. Was quite the experience, completely new experience.

Also, tv doesn't do this course justice. Absolutely gorgeous in person and the greens make me nervous just looking at them. Lot of fun to walk around too.

He's far from on the downside of his career, this is just asinine. He's gone through a number of swing changes and is starting to come around.

You'll see him near the top again.

Great two putt par by Kaymer, who looks like he's on another level right now.
Agreed, but that graphic about the last 5 champions was pretty telling. The winner typically comes from the field with the exception of Rory.

Rose came from 4 back last year. It's easy on Thursday and Friday, let's see how he plays on Saturday and Sunday.

That was one of the coolest things I've ever seen on a golf course.

Kaymer just dropped in a 25-footer for birdie.  Good grief.  -8.

Hunter Mahan just hit Jamie Donaldson's ball and vice-versa.  2-stroke penalty for each.

Mahan and Donaldson just played each other's golf balls. I don't think I've ever seen that happen. 2-stroke penalty for them and they hadro go back and play from where they were originally.

Neither. Shit happens and ultimately its on the player.

Mahan hit first, so it's probably his fault more than anyone's. Tough to come back from that.

Kaymer making a mocker of the field right now.
