MYRTLE BEACH!!!!
The only good thing about the Rory slipping is we'll see some catastrophic crap from Sergio. The closer this gets the bigger shot we have of seeing a Sergio snowman.

Fowler pounded that drive and gets to his ball and Rory is a good 30 yards ahead. But. . . .he hits a not so great approach shot.

That's what i was thinking, the closer he gets the more it will hurt.

I think Rory will find it on the back nine, but it's great there's  wee bit of drama.

Oh, I wasn't taking a shot at you. Just observing how quickly things change.

Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Edit: to bbb

It was not clear. Tighten up, it's the Sunday of a major championship. You need to be better.

Sergio with a birdie putt. Leaves it short. The demons begin to rear their heads. Granted, the putt was not a short one but, still, you don't leave it short.

And to finish off my trifecta of posts, these Direct TV "no wires" commercials are really bad, I can't believe they are still playing them.

It's good to know you have this in your locker. Two shot swing there. Followed by three pars. Solid.

Majors can't be won on the front nine but they can be lost. I'm just trying to get to the 15th hole with a chance. Average Reds is a great player but he's never been too consistent when he has a lead.

Rory should consider putting the funny round clubs away and using irons off the tee coming home.

He should. He's hitting them so well and while he's truly an impressive driver off the tee, the downside is much higher with the driver. That putt Rory just hit might mean he's going to be irons for the rest of the way. The lead is back to being a pretty decent cushion. Damn.

He's got his sports psychologist on speed dial. You seem so...so well prepared. I think it's your time.

Heh. I'm just chuckling to myself picturing Average Reds calling his psychologist, muttering, "He says I need to be better, but how do I do that?"

Rip the framed Lee Westwood portrait photos from the hallway would be a good start.

That might help but you know he refuses to tear down the posted sized picture of Greg Norman hanging over his bed.

It's not really going out on a limb, but this is as good as I've ever seen Sergio play. As calm as I've ever seen him, no emotional swings.

Honestly this makes no sense to me,  takes birdie holes and make them par holes.  take par holes and make them tougher.

Rory has missed a few drives but even when he has missed them he has frequently been so long that he has put himself in decent position despite the miss.

the way I see it the only way Rory loses is either Sergio does something silly like get to -19,  and even if Sergio does that Rory can still beat him.  or if Rory just stops playing his game, and bleeds 2 strokes, on a series of holes he should really finish 2 or 3 under on given his skill and their relative difficulty

5 holes to play, 2 shot lead. Eagles out there. Should be more interesting than it looked like it would be 3 hours ago.
