We don't get the Bubba hate over here. What is it that folks don't like about him. I think we give him a free pass cos he is called Bubba.

He's a petulant child who complains about every poor shot and berates his caddy mercilessly. If his name wasn't Bubba, he would be hated all over. Him hitting an iron off the tee at the long drive "game" during the PGA was a perfect example of the douche that is Bubba.

US is giving up holes and putts all over the place. This is not fun to watch.

I just wanna say, a couple of months ago i went on the website to see about getting tickets for Gleneagles cos i'm an hour away, and it was all sold out, even if you wanted to volunteer, that was all booked up. And i was shocked cos as you can see there is loads of room for more folk...in the galleries - at least I think so. I think they missed a trick

Mart, what are the sky commentators saying about Reed?  Seems like the journalists I follow on Twitter can't stand him yet Poulter is the same way.

Also, and I know from following the BPL that journalists love to make stories out of nothing, but are people really offended that Fowler shaved USA in his head?  Really?

They love him. They love his passion. They don't mind that he bated the crowd a little. They just love that he's got stones, that he's into it. That for the most part he walked it like he talked it. I love him.

Bated the crowd like Lowe bated Miguel Tejada in 2003?

Not quite. He was trying to shoosh the crowd..it's fairly standard at the footie but you don't see it much if at all at the golf, but I like all that stuff.

It was a joke, goddammit. :) I saw the shoosh and I loved it. Reed has gone from a guy I absolutely root against to a guy I root for. If only a few other US golfers could step it up like he did.

That was funny. Mahan and caddie spend five minutes discussing a shot and then Mahan hits a flop shot over the green and off the other side. He flopped the flop shot!

Dude, i thought you were coming from left field so i had to make sure Lowe didn't boff Miggies missus...after that i was just trying to make par.

Lowe made a masterbate gesture to the A's in 2003. Tejada reacted like he did boff his wife. You wrote, "Reed bated the crowd." Instead of baited. Hence, my pun.

God you're sharp. You remind me of David Bowie in The Man Who Fell To Earth, when he's looking at all the TV sets at once.

If USA just simply showed up in the alternate shot format, this would have gone down to the wire.  Getting 1 point out of 8 is inexcusable.  You can say what you want about Spieth and Mahan today, but the competition was lost on Friday and Saturday afternoons.

That's what the cameras just caught Watson saying. If it was fourball and singles it would have been a match.

What can the US do? The streak continues. A smarter captain may help. I love Tom Watson but every move he made was wrong. On the other hand, if Ben Hogan was resurrected to coach this group, Europe still wins.

A few changes could have helped. Sitting Reed and Spieth on Friday. No Mickelson yesterday, but Furyk played. And no Horschel, while Webb sucked.

Well, I did a pool with 20 friends, you pick 6 golfers and the overall team. It's a full point for a win on Friday and Saturday, .5 for a half, and two points for a win on Sunday, 1 point for a half. And you get the overall points of the team you picked to win.(i.e. if Europe scores 16, and you picked them, you get 16 points)

I'm ahead by 1 point and the guy in second has Zach. If Zach loses, I win the pool. If he halves, I tie. If he wins, I lose. So at least I have something to root for.

Justin Rose, Rory, Phil, Spieth, Fowler, and Stenson were my picks, so they all did pretty well. Fowler was the worst by a bit, b/c of all the halves. Nobody picked Patrick Reed, who scored 4.5 points, tying with Rose for the best output.

Billy Horshell had a great September long after the team was announced.  He was 35th in the Ryder Cup point race.So basically you are blaming Watson for not knowing who would get hot at the end of the season.

Webb had a bad morning on Friday and finishes the week 0-1-1.  He was hardly the reason the US lost

Worlds End
Most boring, uneventful Ryder Cup I can remember. I look forward to this weekend for a very long time and Sunday was literally not even worth watching.
Is there some sort of issue between Sergio and Furyk I do not know about? Miller alluded to it a couple times during the broadcast and their post match handshake was far from warm...
