The last regular season game this year is on a Sunday, like it was last year. If the schedule iremains the same, that would set up Games 1 & 2 to be on Wednesday-Saturday and potential Games 5 & 7 on the following Friday-Monday.

Can't start on Wednesday at the Celtics play.  Games 1 and 2 would be on Thursday-Saturday or Thursday-Sunday.

The brokers will have 0.0% difficulty handling both of these opportunities.  It's not 1986, they don't have to have people sleeping on Causeway Street
You're right, 1986 didn't have dynamic pricing.

Good catch. I didn't even consider whether the Cs played either of those days.

Is there any benefit to going direct to the garden box office and standing in line?

It might give you a slight edge if you're first in line. But, I'd be trying on your phone while you wait in line.

StubHub may be a better route.  Cheapest balcony on TM is 150+ after fees. Those are in the corners, last row.  You will find better seats from STH on SH for less than box office.
