Walker hangs on to win.  Made a bogey on 17 to get the lead down to 1, and then had to drop an 8-10 footer on 18 for par to get the title.  3 wins in 8 starts.  Nance just said he's the only guy to do that besides Tiger, Duval and Mickelson, although that doesn't seem right given WBJ pointing out Vijay and Rory earlier in the thread.  It might be to start a season.

Three in the top ten, with the immortal Kevin Na in fourth. Even with Jason Day shitting the bed on Saturday my team did better than any tourney last year. Love it!

Yeah, it's to start a season. It's funny that despite three PGA wins in eight events he'll only move up to 24th or 25th in the world because of the supposed weakness of the fields. You get about the same amount of WGR points for winning the Fry.com as you do for 6th at a major.

Nice week. I needed more players this week to have a shot.

Of course I watched my old team all over the leaderboard today. Would have scored a solid 19 points.

7 points to start the year, however, I'll take it. Especially without my two big hitters.

I think it is 13 points for me this week (top 10, 2 top 25, and 2 made cut).   Nice to see, especially in a week where it didn't really feel like any of my guys played all that well.    need to make sure I get credit for Aphibarnrat who apparently made the cut, but did not finish the tourney.

I think I reached such lofty numbers once or maybe twice last season

Solid 2 points for me this week.  Feels like deja vu all over again, as a wise man once said.  Hopefully, my top picks will decide to actually work for a living next week.  The ones that did go out and try to earn a paycheck this week did a piss poor job of it, but I'm still way more excited for my team this year.

As for my players from last year, good to see Pat Perez and Ryan Palmer still getting better, albeit for someone else.  The rest of my team from last season (aside from Ken Duke and David Lingmerth, who played well at times last year) did what they did for me.  Nothing. I'm looking at you Carl Petterson, Steve Stricker,  Paul Lawrie (or maybe it was Paul Casey, who knows, they both sucked) and whoever my other guy was...

A top 10 for Chesson Hadley, technically his 2nd one this year going back to October.  I feel like he's going to be the pick that I missed out on that comes back to haunt me.  I said before the draft that I really wanted to get at least 1-2 guys that were coming off the Web.com tour, given the recent success of it's graduates like W. Simpson, J. Day, Points, etc. and he was obviously one of the clear front-runners for that spot.  I like his game a lot.

The PGA.com leaderboard had the MDF'a yesterday. If they dropped it, it's everyone T61-70.

McDowell's 67 yesterday got me 4 extra points that I wasn't anticipating. Happy with the start, and I've got semi-full squad going this week at Riviera with 5 players in the field.

VSF, thanks again for doing this.  I know it can be a lot of work and its easy to make mistakes.  Let me know if you can't do a week and i'll do it my old fashioned way (with a pen and paper).

Seconded. Thanks very much VSF, it's really nice of you. I am happy about my first week's results. 0 points. Can't get worse, can it?

I might have something snarky to say about those rankings if not for the fact that I underperformed your pitiful projection for me during week 1...

I did have Leon Trotsky second in the first rankings. BBB will be tough to beat this week also I think.

Zach Johnson was named PGA player of the month for January.  Apparently, he decided to take February off as a result.  Out again this week.  WTF.  Is it too much to ask to have your top player actually play golf once in a while.  Driving me crazy.  At least my second round pick is going to give it a go this time around.

I just pulled up the bracket for the Match play next week, and I only have TWO fucking guys playing in that.  I really, really suck at this.  On top of that, Zach Johnson has to play Jason Day in round 1.  He'll then probably get Schwartzel in Round 2, and if all goes well, he could end up needing to get by Rory to get to the final four.  Best of luck with that draw, Zach.  I'm not entirely sure how a guy ranked in the top 10 in the world is a 6 seed in the Match play event.

My other guy, Charles Howell, III.  His first round draw:  Tiger Woods.

It just gets better and better.

That said, anyone interested in doing brackets like an NCAA pool for that event?  I wouldn't have the time to run it or anything, but if anyone wants to, I'd be in.

Wow, these brackets are totally fucked.  Zach Johnson is a 6 seed, but Ernie Els and Nick Watney are 5 seeds?  Umm, wut?

Weird, I got the bracket right from the PGA website, on the right, where it says "printable bracket."  Has the bracket come out yet or does anyone have a link to the field?

Brackets won't be out until Sunday. The field is pretty much set, it's the top 64 in the OWGR as of today, actually. Tiger, Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson all aren't playing, so the last 3 in as of now are Scott Piercy, Richard Sterne and Kiradech Aphibamrat who are 65-67 in the OWGR. The players have until this Friday to fully commit. If anyone else drops out, they just go right on down the list, So Koepka, de Jonge and Uihlein are next up on the waiting list.

The seedings are determined by the OWGR following this weekend. Depends on how things go this weekend, but looks like for you right now Zach would be a 1 seed and draw Boo Weekley in the first round.

Thanks guys. Awesome, so instead of having Johnson and Howell.  I just have Johnson.

Like I said, better and better.

Not sure why you're complaining about having only one or two guys going. Most teams are going to have just that, it's a limited field and unless you took a flier on a euro guy late in the draft, then having two guys is pretty par for the course.

The only reason I have 3 is because I took Grace in the 8th round specifically for these events.

I have three.(fowler, donald, hanson) I consider that a MAJOR upset.

edit - I'm with Death, tho. I could not suck at this more. Is it any wonder that I draft DA Points and he gets DQ'ed for being a moron? I blame my locker room. It's a mess and my guys do stupid things. Jetstown.

Very loooong way to go but I don't think I ever had three players in the top 10 at any point of any tournament last season.   Go boys!!!!

I would be feeling good about this last round if it weren't for the fact that four of my team missed the cut.

Need Bubba to keep it up and Baddeley to make a few birdies down the stretch or I have no shot.

I had 2 in the top five for a little while this am in Speith and Hoffman. Both falling back a bit here so looks like I'm out.
Looking forward to seeing who Bubba blames for this weeks impending collapse.
