My God, I have some guys that just can't finish on Sundays.  Charles Howell makes a miraculous hole out eagle on 16 today, follows it up with a beautiful birdie on 17, but makes a stupid bogey on 18 to probably end up in a tie for 3rd.  He also bogeyed 15 before the eagle.  Just keep the card clean on the back nine on Sunday and you can make things happen.

Speaking of which, nice job Greg Chalmers.  You have a top 15 locked up heading to 18, and blow the 2nd shot into the drink.  You'll be lucky to get out of there with bogey now and a top 20 finish.  Douche.

I doubt a 2nd place, a top 15 and a made cut would have done anything for me this week, but it certainly would have been a lot better than what I'm going to end up with.  Same old story, same old..

A big fat goose egg, my only golfer playing shockingly missed the cut. Great production from a first round pick this year.

I'm enjoying the new rankings, if only to find out that Average Reds has 7 guys playing including the defending champion but is holding down the bottom spot with an average of 5.29 2014 points. Impressive.

I don't understand the "average 2014 points" category.  For example, if says that Lupe's average 2014 points are 24.67.  But, he only has 125 points year to date through about 15 tournaments, so he's getting an average of 8.33 per tournament from his entire team.  I thought that category was supposed to be the average number of points on a weekly basis of the guys you have playing that week.  He only has 3 guys playing, so wouldn't his "average 2014" points be something less than the 8.33.

Obviously, I'm completely missing what the category is for, so please fill me in.  I can't figure it out for the life of me, but I'm sure it's something simple.

I would threaten to beat you senseless but I'd probably just end up channeling my team and whiff on the attempt.  Wake me up when this year is over.

Oh, and fuck Nick Watney.

It's a complicated way of explaining that my team blows dead goats.

It's average total points on the season scored by a team's player in the field.

So, for my team, I've got 2 guys in the field this week; Angel Cabrera and Luke Guthrie. On the season Guthrie has accumulated 9 total points. Angel Cabrera has accumulated 5 points. So together, they've given me 14 points which averages 7 total points each over the course of the season.

I guess it shows how strong each teams players are that are playing that week. I've got two bums. Lupe has Spieth who has scored a shit ton this year.

I guess it would  probably be better if instead of showing the total points year to date and divided by the number of players, it showed the average weekly points for the guys you have in the field.  So, if you have 2 guys in the field that have a total 7 points each on the season, that column would show 14 points divided by the number of events that they have played (or at least the total number of events we've had).  Showing the gross total doesn't really seem to offer much.  If you show it the way I'm proposing, it would more accurately reflect when matched up with the "2013 points" column.

I just can't believe my team of crap is actually in 12th place. Not for nothing, everyone below me really suuuuuuuuuuucks. You should all be ashamed and humiliated. Especially you Four Peters.

Apparently Rory and Wozniacki have ended their engagement.

I'm viewing this as good news for my team. Time to focus on winning golf tournaments, Rory. On this side of the pond, preferably.

Well, he's off to a good start, winning the BMW European PGA Championship today, and one of the largest purses on that tour (1.029 million for the winner).

Results updated.

I've added a new metric. Team Total PPW. I took the total points for each golfer then divided by how many weeks they have played then summed that number for each team.

Good stuff.

I picked up an 0fer last week. Rory pulled off the rare "dump the girl; win golf tournament" week. So that's nice.

My middling team continues to be middling. That said, props to Jacobson for showing up this week. He was the only one, unfortunately.

Spenser Levin has missed 8 of 9 cuts since our season started.  Lucas Glover has already missed 14 cuts this year.

John Rollins has made 4 cuts out of the 11 qualifying tournaments he has played this year, so he's a keeper too.

Jesus, I could not suck more at this.

Andy Brickley's potty mouth
Rory hurt his knee yesterday and was flexing it a lot on the range this morning. I'm skeptical of his chances this weekend.

I'll be on the grounds on Sunday heckling everyone else's players.

Can somebody review the rules about the drop/add.  Well ... other than the fact that I believe I drop/add first.  That said, based on my season I will probably get just enough points to move up but not win.

Justin Rose goes birdie-birdie to make the cut on the number, but assesses himself a one-stroke penalty because he double-hit a chip shot on the 12th.  Fucking class.
