Okay hopefully we can get this done before Thursday.  As far as the tie goes, I think last year we did whoever got to the computer first but I'm willing to listen to ideas.  I'll PM people when its their turn but please pay attention to the thread.

Edit:  NM, you're not on the clock.

For the record, I'm ready as well.  Unless one of you takes my pick, in which case I will be completely flustered.

Damn it guys.  I'm not sure if I'm up or not, but I have my list at home and no chance today to re-create it.  I'll get my pick in tonight when I get home, assuming it's my turn.

I think Dan is still up. I've updated the opening post with results thus far.

This add/drop exercise is flawed. Folks should have to announce who they are dropping before the add period begins so the teams picking first have choice of EVERYONE available.

The fact that a good player could get dropped later in the round for one of the better teams to pick up, is a shame.

I agree with you Flawless.  Otherwise, the rule should be that people who get dropped should remain unavailable to be picked up by anyone.  Odds are the guys who are doing well and thus, pick later, are going to be dropping better players than the people who go early, so why should the leaders picking at the end have a shot at those good drops?  Seems very off to me.

I'm taking Robert Streb and dropping Greg Chalmers.

The problem with dropping people in advance is this...what happens if a team in near the top of the standings drops a player who then gets picked up by another team. By the time the team that dropped that player is on the clock, what happens if they don't like any remaining players? What do you do then?

Right, and what is the concern? That the better teams are picking up the worse teams garbage? If you don't want other teams to pick up good players, don't drop good players.

I don't see the problem, that's the risk you take when dropping a player.

I just think it's shitty that the worst team doesn't get a pick of all available players. If we're trying to be fair, and it seems we are by having the drop order be driven by the standings, then all players should be available to the first team that picks.

In the end, it probably doesn't really matter that much. I just think it's a gap that could be addressed next season.

Well I apologize for being the slow guy,  just totally stressed at work.

I will probably regret this, but I will drop Kiradech Aphinbarnrat,   and pick up Billy Hurley III

Perfectly find by me, I have a list and my pick when it gets to me won't be affected by one round.

Also Average Reds with Reteif Goosen looking good today, I am sure would like his points counting this week.

We'll see. After DOTB took Streb, I had a list of about five guys who were fungible in my eyes. If somebody else has such a list, and one of the guys is at the top of the leaderboard after today, what do you think happens?

I think this should wait until next week.

EDIT: I just noticed my add is sucking it up today. I don't care if we make only him count; I just think late picks shouldn't be counting.

On the other hand, if this gets dragged out a few more days and someone say player X looks great going into Sunday and I take him, doesn't that give me an unfair advantage of getting a player that has moved up the fedex points instead of someone picking before me.

I guess I don't know what is the fairest way of doing it and I feel the if T4P and Flawless get their pics in soon this could be done in a matter of a few hours.

I'm of the opinion that 2 days really isn't going to matter too much.  If someone is going to take a guy based on the results of today or tomorrow, more power to 'em.  I think if we get it done before Sunday, it should count towards this week, but I don't feel strongly about it either way.

The format isn't perfect, but I'm really happy with the way its going for just its second year.  I'd like to think that people won't care too much one way or another.

Whatever you want.  Its hard enough to do this on a message board where not everyone can check in every day.  At the end of the days its supposed to be fun.  I don't want anyone getting upset over a perceived lack of fairness.

Ha good point! I knew I was forgetting something from last year!  If everyone wants, that seems like the fair way to do it.
