Good luck WBV, make sure to let us know so I can get a wager in on her.

Twist n Bake is running on Friday at Gulfstream.  She's been the least impressive of the three thus far, but Lanerie is going to ride her for the first time, and her recent training has been better, so we're pretty optimistic.  I've made more money betting on my horses than I have as an owner thus far, but this has been a fun 6 months or so to start my "career" as an owner.

All of a sudden, we are rolling along.  Twist n Bake got her first win today, in the 5th race at Gulfstream.  I have no idea why, but she was bet down to 9/5 before the race, so someone knew something, but I can tell you as one of the owners, it wasn't us.  She ran a great race, and they put Lanerie on her too, who is now 2-2 on our horses.  Fun times.

You're a beast, congrats! Let us know when you've got one running again; I can always use some extra cash.

Maddizaskar is running on Friday at Gulfstream.  First time I've had a horse in an allowance race, so I'm pretty psyched.  She's the one that's undefeated, after winning her first race a few weeks back, after starting about 10 lengths back out of the gate.  She also had her best training run ever last week.  She looks really, really strong.

Maddizaskar is running in the Here Comes the Bride Stakes at Gulfstream on Saturday.  $150,000 purse.  First ever Stakes race for one of our horses, and I'm pretty stoked about it.  She won her first race last month, and then followed it up with an 8th place run in which she was caught in pretty bad traffic.  She's been training really well though.  She's the biggest of the three horses that we had, and thus, she took much longer to get to racing than the others.  She seems to have a lot of trouble from the gate, but has supposedly been doing much better with that in training.  Either way, she's a finisher anyway, and John Velasquez is riding her.

One of our other horses, Twist 'n Bake, is no longer ours, and we're pretty pissed about it.  She won her first race two back, and then Weaver thought he saw something he didn't like on one of her legs going into her last race, and put her in a $25,000 claimer.  She basically led from start to finish, getting caught right at the pole.  Ended up running a 1:36 mile that day, and finished second.  Didn't look hurt to me, but whatever.  If that's the race that ultimately gets the stable to kick Weaver to the curb, would be fine with me.  I think they've ceded too much control to him over the years.

Our third horse, Fusiachi Red, who ran in 2nd in her only two races, and then got hurt and shut down, started working out again two weeks ago, and should probably be entered into a race in the next week or so.

About 45 minutes to post time.  In the 5th race at Gulfstream.  I think they are having some weather down there, because 3 of the 9 horses have already been scratched.  According to the website, ours is still in, but I thought if they moved the race to the dirt, they might scratch her.  Can't tell if the race has been moved or not, but I hope they run her either way.  The top 2 favorites are out, and of the 5 other horses left, she's as good as any of them, IMO.  Morning line was 20 to 1, which hasn't moved yet, but will definitely go down a lot, but still should be good odds.

They are off the turf, but we're keeping her in.  It's official.  She's got good slop in her pedigree too.  Woohoo, this could be huge.

Just talked to the stable owner, and Maddizaskar's father, Bellamy Road, won the Belmont Stakes in the mud.

I'm with you WBV.  I had no idea it was that bad until I turned it on as they were loading into the gate.  Probably should have scratched her.  Couldn't even see what  happened with the fog and shit.  Just hope he pulled her up.  Looks like she was fine trotting along at the finish.

Sorry Murf.  Wish I could say it only cost me $25 though.  Was really a great opportunity, but Mother Nature said "FUCK YOU and the horse you rode in on."

Well, Goose Bumps may finally make her debut in the next couple of weeks. She's been working well for the past few weeks, and got a gate work today, going 5 furlongs in 1:00.60, 11th of 54 at the distance. The trainer is looking at a 6.5 furlong race down Santa Anita's unique downhill turf course, which for those of you who aren't familiar, is one of or the only courses in the U.S. that features a (slight) right-hand turn.

So, she's not going to go this weekend. No setbacks, the trainer just decided that her turf pedigree makes this a really unlikely spot for her. Barring any setbacks, she'll debut in a 5.5 furlong, $56k maiden special weight on April 4th. Here she is this weekend:
