I live near Seattle.

We bought my 6 year old son a Seahawks jersey this year.  I wish I could muster up half of the enthusiasm I had for the 2013 Red Sox.  But at the end of the day, it's only football.

At least pitchers and catchers report sort-of soon.

Way to go Hawks! I work a lot in Seattle and have had the great opportunity to go to 3 Hawks games over the past 3 years. What a great crowd and stadium. If it can't be the Pats then I am really glad it was the Hawks.
It's going to be really interesting how Schneider and Carroll handle the cap with so many of their great 2010 and 2011 draft picks coming free soon.

Pretty much how I feel -- really love Carroll and really love the way this team has been constructed and plays th egame.

Not sure about their cap situation, but surely having Wilson and Sherman on such a great contracts and no obviously awful contracts means they should be able to devote more than their share of money to the rest of the roster beyond their two biggest stars.

That's where I'm at too (living in Tacoma).  By the second quarter I was glad the Pats weren't playing, because I think the Hawks would've crushed anyone from the AFC.  It's possible the Pats would've represented better than the Broncos, but that's no sure bet -- just as easily could've been a blowout, and I'd have hated to sit through that.

My worst fear (of sorts) is a Pats-Hawks SB, and both teams are young. I can see it coming...

I used to worry (long ago, obviously) about a Sox/M's ALCS. Then I realized that if the Sox won, I'd be happy, and if they lost, I'd have World Series tickets.

HPC-ette is an M's fan.

Didn't Kiper give them the worst grade, too? Certainly he gave them something in the C range, which is about as bad as he doles out. Takes balls to buck the consensus.
