It's about time for a ST, non-kick, non-return, division,  position to be added to the All-Pro roster.

Congrats to Aqib, would not have said at the beginning of the year that he would be considered a top-5 corner.

Brees got hosed IMHO.

The big surprise to me is Eddie Lacy getting the nod over Matt Forte. Forte is better at every facet of the game except maybe short-yardage rushing. Huge snub.

Gostkowski should be in at least one of the kicking spots. He scored more points than Prater, nailed 15 more FGs and had the beautiful onside kick to boot.

Prater missed one kick all year, a 52-yarder.  In the 12 games that he had field goal attempts, he made a 50-yarder in half of them.  He didn't miss on the road.  I don't know how you could leave him off.

Manning was unanimous so there's no second teamer? In 2007 some fucker gave 1/2 his vote to Brady and 1/2 to Favre.

Makes me wonder if a Favre buddy knew he had some contract clause that gave him a bonus if he made All-Pro.

Completely agree on Lacy. Easily the biggest surprise pick. I would have taken Forte or Lynch over him (who both had higher YPC, better receiving numbers, and more TDs). Though he did help lead the Rodgers-less Packers team to the playoffs. But this isn't MVP voting.

I think Gost deserved some love but I would have put him in over Tucker instead of Prater. I think Tucker got in alone on the 66 yarder. Him and Gost had the same FG % (92.7) but Tucker missed one inside 40 yards (Gost 100%) and Gostowski also was much more dominant at Kick Offs (do they even take that into account?).

Yeah, that was my thought, but a google search shows he voted for Brady.

I think Mathis is a superb guard and thought he was a pro bowl snub.

I wonder how common it is to be first team all pro and not make the pro bowl even as an alternate.

Same can be said for LaVonte David.

What 66 yarder? Prater hit a 64. And he a lot less FGs than either Gost or Tucker.

Frankly with his overall numbers and his long streak, there was no way Tucker wasn't getting top billing on any kind of list. Guy had a huge year and own more than one game for a borderline playoff team. Prater banged home extra points, padded distance numbers while up big and hit a 28 yarder as his only really important kick. If either should have been left off for Gost it was prater.

I know it is a lot of fuss to make about a kicker, but name one game that Prater had that was even half as important as Gostkowski had against Houston.

Yeah I was thinking of the 61 yarder that beat the Lions (his high, which was a huge kick). I think you're right that Tucker and Gost were better than Prater in FGs, though I'm still not sure if KOs come into play (they should since with the new rules getting a team to touchback or take it out at the wrong time is more valuable now) in which Gost and Prater were better at. Gost is on both those lists though so he should have been in over one of those guys.
