too bad Daniels is leaving. I hoped he would come back and just dominate this year - averaging 18 and 8 wouldn't have been a stretch.

Where do you guys see him getting drafted? Early 2nd round?

I think most prognosticators are putting him late 1st/early 2nd. My guess is late 1st. He has the tools to do it all, just needs to add some weight.

I don't think he'd be going (especially with the NBA connections KO and JC have) if he wasn't going to be a first round pick.

He's been inconsistent at times but I don't think his size will be as much of an issue as you think, especially considering how much his three point shooting improved this season.

If this is when he thinks he can cash in, no one should criticize the decision.

I just think with a good season next year he's pushing toward lottery territory.  I wish him all the luck in the world and he is cashing in on the solid run through the tourney.

I agree, Calhoun usually was able to get a good read on where his kids would go and I'm sure KO has great connections as well, I think he'll go towards the back 25% of the 1st round

I will say though that like what Red said, if he came back and bulked up a bit I really think he could have been a lottery pick, but oh well. You win a ring, I'll drive you to the NBA draft myself.

I remember being disappointed when UConn lost out to WVU on Jabarie Hinds. Boatright then decommits from WVU and signs on with UConn. I guess things workout in the end.

The speed in our backcourt next year will be ridiculous with Boatright, Purvis and Samuel. All 3 have shown great burst, especially the first two. Add in incoming frosh Hamilton and this team could be fun as hell to watch next year. Just have to get the big men to improve and hope Brimah's rehab from shoulder surgery goes smoothly.

I still remember when Boatright had his first game scheduled back home in Chicago and Mark Emmert held him out specially for that game. I know the sentiment here was that Mark was using the kid to grind his Axe against UConn. This was on my mind a lot when Napier was shitting all over the NCAA. It's on my mind again now and I hope he gets one more time to show Mark up.

Ollie with some "I'm listening, but I'm not pursuing anything" quotes today. He'd be crazy not to, but I hope Warde really is making progress to double Ollie's salary. Ollie also apparently telling uncertain recruits when they ask about his future that he'll be there for them all four years. Of course, he wouldn't be the first coach to change his mind but...

Well, Daniel hamilton is hedging his bets that Ollie might leave - Isn't signing until he shows up on campus for classes.
He never was going to sign and pretty said so from the start after his brother lost a year of eligibility when UTEP wouldn't release him from his letter.

Deal official today. Seeing reports of between $2.8 with incentives to $3 or $3.2. Separate buyout clauses for leaving for another college or NBA job, with the college buyout the higher of the two.

UConn commit and 2015 four star guard Prince Ali has re-opened his recruitment. But it's cool, he still loves and is considering playing for the national champs:

Prince Ali @Princesmoove23  ·  58m

After talking it over with my family I have decided to reopen my recruitment! I still love the Uconn and I am still considering Uconn!

Also from that Courant post:

...the coaches have been looking at other '15 guards, such as Malik Newman, a highly rated guard from Jackson, Miss., who told SNY's Adam Zagoria last week that he and Diamond Stone, a highly regarded center from Milwaukee, are "100 percent" determined to be a package deal in choosing a college. UConn coaches had in-home visits with both Newman and Stone during April.

All the puns... wasted. Good thing there are 100000000000 other guards UConn has been linked to... And that's just the number of guards currently on UConn's roster.
