Hi all, forgive me if I'm using my first post to ask a stupid question.

I was re-watching the 04 Sox (as we are all inclined to do at various points, I'm sure) and something spurred me to get on SoSH and see if I could go back and read any of the game threads for that postseason. I can see the subforums, but no threads in them. Is this something tied to the forum upgrades maybe? Or are those posts simply lost to time across the past 20 years? I remember visiting the ezboards way back when, and I checked the Wayback Machine but it only has so much archived and most threads are inaccessible.

Yes they have been lost to time via server moves and software upgrades, at least on this site.

There is a mashup site that took the SOSH and NYYFans game threads from the 2004 ALCS and spliced them together.

I definitely have them on a database backup. One day I’ll get them imported.

Maybe 10ish years ago when we moved to xenforo (this software) the importer was fairly manual and it would have taken a week or two of the site being offline, so we ended up just doing a year or two prior. But they 100% still exist. So does the original ezboard export

Having been a member of another forum that made the transition from some old copy of vbulletin to xenforo, I've heard some horror stories about the backend tools. I just think it's impressive you can import those old posts at all

This is fantastic, I love being able to read both forums' posts at the same time haha. Thank you!!
