Also- Why in the fuck did Atlanta name it's hockey team the Flames in honor of the city being burned down?!

Tough task tonight after having played last night and facing a well-rested team. Will be interesting to see which D sits. Forbort maybe?

It's strange, but it's at least it's unique. I'll take that over focus grouped garbage like the Kraken every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Besides, Sherman was right.

Should have been named the Pheonix in homage to how the city rose from its ashes. And because that wouldn’t be confusing or anything…

In other news, I will be attending the game tonight, and have an extra ticket - so any Alberta SoSH people who live near enough to attend (well ONE) is invited…

I appreciate Edmonton and Calgary taking the hits to start games at 5:30 and 6 local. I still hope they lose, but I hope their fans are at least entertained a little bit while losing.

I’m pretty sure tonight’s game is 7 PM in Calgary…and tonight I’m rooting for the spoked B. I plan to be entertained.

Calgary fans are frustrated. This was supposed to be a legit contending team, but a few high profile guys haven’t been producing - Markstrom in particular.

Moving forward, I feel like the Sutter ol’ school Western Canadian style coaching isn’t what they need here. Might be time for a change…

Oops. Only 2 hour difference. So only Edmonton pulled a solid with the 6:30 start and I'm glad they saw a good game. Calgary can get blown out.
Though I do want to get out there for a game at some point.

The defense rotation makes sense. Gives everybody a break, and figure out who Orlov best pairs with.

I had a great time over there one night playing blackjack with Noah Hanafin’s dad and his buddy after one season opener. The buddy opened his mouth, and I was like, “Where in Mass are you from?”

Also - cheap rib dinner and $6 (CDN) beers up until 30 min before games is good.
