The NBA is the most difficult game to officiate and this play is a perfect example. Everyone watching super slo-mo.....Laker fans screaming for obvious foul on Theis, Celtics fans screaming for obvious foul on Davis. Officials need to be decisive in real time at game speed.
Yes, which makes the five minute break to review the play so frustrating.

Regardless of how last 8 seconds go, Lakers looked old here. Celtics without Kemba played them to a standstill and got to rim at will.

All the calls and pg play may get Lakers a win but it does not make one feel like they are in good shape for playoffs.

Refs with a belt and suspenders plan to make sure the Celtics don’t win.

with kemba out, the celtics needed hayward to step up, but instead he threw up all over his shoes.

Does the NBA not care that the officials are ruining the product?

This was too good of a game for the refs to get that involved in it. If Kemba was playing, the Cs would have won by 10.

I feel good about that ultimately—-super rare for a loss.

You can’t control biased referring late, but Celts with freaking Wannamaker at PG played it even on road and did so with dominant offensive play.

Nine assists, eight rebounds. Sucks that his shot was off, especially that last layup attempt.
