Do the Bruins just not ever practice the shootout? The Rangers, almost to a man, had some kind of move. The Bruins...not so much.

I might be sweating this team's lack of shootout prowess if any of the teams beneath them in the standings were any good. Islanders lost tonight and Columbus is losing right now, so... not really.

They went 2/9 which actually isn’t that bad, especially considering the goalie.

Shootouts are short so it’s all about sequencing. You need goals and saves at the same time. They didn’t line up tonight. If Swayman stops either the Panarin or Zibanejad attempts we are t talking about how the Bruins shooters stink.

I'm not sure any goalie stops the first 2 successful NYR shootout shots.

Of course. Just pointing out that when they lose a shootout everyone usually complains that our shooters stink. Shesterkin has a .778 save percentage in shootouts this year. He had .778 last night. The shooters were fine. Swayman was too.

I was talking with a Rangers fan and told him NESN showed Shesterkin with the crazy eyes and he said "he always does that" which is very russian goalie. I hope thats true. The Rangers are not impressive other than him. Panarin's line got caved in last night and so did Lindgren and Fox. Any justice and the Bruins win that game in regulation but shit happens sometimes. Oh well. Get Bergy back Thursday and hopefully Marchand wins his appeal (suuuure).
