Why do Zubac and Morris both start over Harrell for the Clippers? He's a monster. I hate him, but he's a monster.
Doc found a bit of success and chemistry with he and Williams coming off the bench last season and decided he wanted to have his second unit headed by those two this year. It makes sense when the Clips are at full strength.

As a side note, Paul George's inability to stay healthy may sink this team in the playoffs. But that was always the risk with the guy.

I’ve seen all I need in terms of this team being capable of great things. Just need to play well enough for a good playoff draw, get goddamn healthy, and go to work. Really excited to see TL back on the court. Hope he can’t contribute.

you just knew they'd amp up the defensive intensity on a night when the Cs announced they'd retire KG's jersey.

His spirit was with them.

First game this year where I legit felt they can win a ring.
They looked nigh unbeatable to start the year with everyone healthy, and since Gordon hurt his hand they have all been dealing with something here and there. If they can get everyone humming at full steam I think they can surprise.

Kemba definitely needs to get right. He is just a step or two slow lately on O.

Yes Kemba needs to step it up to be the complimentary guy to Tatum lol

Yes need a run of a few weeks with everyone healthy. That 2nd seed is critical.

Yep, I've been on this "they can win a ring" all year, if they stay healthy. The last time this team was fully healthy and had all their parts, they dismantled the Lakers. That's all I needed to see to know they can beat anyone in a 7 game series, if they stay healthy.

Gordon Hayward is the key to this team. You know Kemba, Tatum and Brown are going to do their thing, with Tatum and Brown also being ++++++ defenders, along with Smart off the bench. Gordon doesn't get nearly enough credit for his defense, and when his shots are falling, forget it. You can't guard all 4 of them one on one and if you double, you're fucked.

I also want Semi stapled to the fucking bench. I don't know what he brings to the table, other than a body, but I'd rather GWill start getting 25-30 minutes a night and Semi getting zero and build up GWill in time for April.

You should probably petition Wyc and Ainge to fire Stevens. Based on everything I have read and heard from the coaching staff, they like that he can come in for a few minutes or more and always be ready. You may be correct but its probably not happening this season.

As a 76ers fan, I watched last night’s game in awe of what Jayson Tatum has become. Best player on the court, kind of took Kawhi to the cleaners a few times. Only positive thing from a Philly perspective is the mismatch he kept getting with Landry Shamet, whom the 76ers gave away last year in the Tobias Harris deal. Brad Stevens can find a mismatch better than most coaches.
And Kemba’s ankle-breaking move on Shamet, capped by a three-point dagger, was pretty cool, too.

I loved that game and would love to see a Celtics / Clippers Finals.

I am a bit worried how the team evolves if Tatum becomes "the guy". It seemed like he was disrupting the flow a bit when he was going iso last night. I guess it's fine when the shots are falling. Scal said on his podcast a few days ago that the C's haven't yet proven themselves to be as good as it seems they might be when completely healthy, which I think is true. I think they need to keep the elite ball distribution up no matter who is having a hot night.
