Yes, I would trade Marchand as I've discussed before. And I absolutely agree with you that I don't want the Sweeney regime doing it, so it's kinda a moot point especially with Neely around.

I think a few years out of the playoffs might be inevitable with this team anyhow, especially if Bergeron retires. McAvoy and Pasta are young and established, but otherwise this team's future has been mortgaged already by Sweeney. The only other player that seems to have potential as a good or better NHLer is Swayman, and I'm still not confident in him.

In other words, I think continuing to chase competitive mediocrity is far more detrimental to the franchise than suffering the pains of a rebuild.
I think that I’ve just resigned myself to them not being interested in a full rebuild as long as Neely is in charge.

I realize having two of the best forwards in the entire league out would make any team look bad, but I'm starting to lean toward blowing it up again. I can't see this team getting anywhere near the Cup right now.
When they've got the full roster available and they're motivated, they're pretty 'effin awesome (as we saw on their recent points streak in January).

That was painful. They hung in there in the first period and had some chances, but the 2nd and 3rd were grim.

First B’s game in a while live for me tonight which was a blast. Hub Hall was okay, got a burger from Sauce which was nothing special and light on the Buffalo. Sat in the 300s in front of a group of 6 early 20s something’s. Side eyed one of them when they dropped a fun homophobic slur beginning with an F in the first period. Then they threw peanuts on me at which point I asked them to please stop doing so. Because I wasn’t in a B’s jersey and not yelling “Let’s Go B’s!” down 4-0 I was accused of being a Cans fan with a chode (just watched Dave on FX so mildly chuckled to myself) and being gay for having a sweater with buttons (it was a jacket and got them to admit they just meant dumb). Finally with 5 minutes to go one guy poured some beer down the back of my sweatshirt at which point I spiked his beer, apologized to the people hit by the splash in my section (they were understanding and I was overapologetic), stood there long enough for him to do literally nothing and then left the game with 5 minutes left. Oh and the Bruins had the softest 30 shots ever. Missed the Garden.

Stories like this make me glad that I made the decision to drop my season tickets a couple of years back. Way too much bull shit up in that balcony. Not worth the aggravation. I’m much happier watching the games in my living room with my dogs.

I unfortunately thought of the comeback of “How many Blake Wheeler Bruins jerseys do you own?” too late. Because I own one (shirt jersey). Best part was it was my buddy’s 10-pack seats.

Didn’t see it mentioned but Studnicka played with Pasta and Hall in the third. I was focused on…other things…but didn’t seem to do much of note.
