After a nightmare week, my Toffees, with club legend and Daniel Craig doppelgänger Duncan Ferguson prowling the touch line, improbably up 1-0 over Chelsea off the proverbial thumping header from Richy

Just in the door and saw it was 2-0 to Everton.

2-1 now. I Wonder if Everton will fold like a pack of cards.

Big Dunc looks alright in a suit. Still looks like he'd chib ye but he wears the suit well.

Bloody Hell, Everton get the third. They needed that cos they were starting to defend way too deep and theywere wasteful with the ball. Oh my, I just want to see Duncan Ferguson's post match interview.

Nice win for Everton. That errant Kepa pass that led to the 3rd goal was a special kind of careless, usually only seen with Arsenal centre-backs trying to play it out of the back.

Great to see Everton get off the schneid.

The congestion is real for Liverpool. Today’s line looks more like the 4-4-2 shape they’ve occasionally run out this season, and the bench has some young’uns.

Watching some Dortmund-Düsseldorf and it’s like, how much more black could these Dortmund kits be and the answer is none. None more black.

Looking forward to seeing what Jose does after being shown up by Big Dunc on the ballboy dap.

I’m genuinely happy for Everton. They’re fun to take the piss out of, but it’s a great club with great supporters. Respect.

Milner with a second straight start for Liverpool. He’s looking like Jurgen’s secret weapon for fixture congestion.

What are we thinking today a VAR decision or a keeper howler?

Chelsea ran into an Everton team who played with ridiculous commitment. Can’t imagine Everton could play like that every week, it’d be a mistake to do the Ole thing I think

I am beyond thrilled and Everton is too. I know something more is required but for now I am over the moon. I was not a Silva hater, he’s a descent man, he did some things well and had done bad luck but he was a limp dishrag in the best of times. Goodie on needed an injection to get the fans back onside and remind the world of what this club can be. No manager worth the job would want to walk into the morgue that Goodson was last week in that loss ton Norwich (that we were going to be at, think god our plans changed) but you’d have to be dead not to be psyched by that.

Ox looking a touch slow and heavy in touch today. The ball keeps finding him, though....

Solanke wants a goal hell or high water.

Keita! World class back heel from Salah to find Keita, who kept up his run. Well played.

29 plays Keita onside by a few yards while the defenders all kept it close so they raise their hands after the goal and then 29 sheepishly raises his hand too but knows it was his fault

The Liverpool midfield has been going full Daryle Lamonica lately. Maybe they’ve been seeing higher defensive lines?

If NBCSN were interested in much beyond pub talk at halftime (“Was that a penalty???” “How much do we hate VAR???”), they could analyze that sort of thing.

Class from Keita all match so far. I really wish he wasn't so damn fragile...

And Ake is a big loss for Bournemouth there, he is quality.

California. Duh.
Origi, Shaqiri, Ox, and Keita all scoring when given their chances. With a game about every 3 days all this month, it's nice to see.

Honestly, there are only a couple of players in history—Maradona, Messi—who could pull off a goal like Son’s where abject defense isn’t a contributing factor.

I don’t mean to detract from Son’s effort at all in saying that. Burnley let him do it and he had the skill and duende to pull it off. Fantastic effort.

Ferguson’s pure elation at the end was beautiful. Thats got to be an atmosphere changer for the whole organization.

It was as basic as football gets- 4-4-2, no playing out the back-Pickford hitting every ball long, go fight for the second ball, they only had 30% of the ball but they were on the front foot throughout, but what it lacked in finesse it more than made up for in heart.

This is the Everton I fell in love with when I started watching the PL.

We know that Dunc is not the man for the job long term but wow. He'd do anything for this club, I think he'd sweep out the aisles and water the grass if they asked him to.

An amazing Dunc boost but this kind of defensive intensity is probably not sustainable in the long run.

OGS has the tactics correct so far - stretch the leaky back 4 across the pitch and use the attacking speed in behind. Be interesting to see if ManU can keep it up for another 45....

Well done Utd for hanging on to the break. I only caught the last fifteen minutes but they look to be keeping their shape and staying organised when they don't have the ball. It can be tiring just watching City move the ball about with KDB orchestrating things, making passes no one else would see or attempt. I thought City would have got a late goal.

That's not good. City fans throwing stuff onto the field when Fred goes to take the corner. Looks like he got hit by something. Ridiculous.

This has been a great match up. City had to score eventually.

Is that Ashley Young coming on? I'd be nervous if I was a Utd fan.

Some result. A great team performance and a lot of good individual performances in the Utd team. Fred seems to be starting to live up to the price tag.
