very nice first quarter. it had everything on the offensive end. mook and tatum scoring early, facilitation and scoring from kyrie, hayward doing a bit of everything, and terry rozier passed to a rolling big. holy moly.

I love that Morris always legitimately tries to make those .5 court shots

Always, that's a man that don't give a shit about his shooting %, he wants to make a bomb.

Nice first quarter, but don't love giving up 30 to the Knicks in any quarter. As soon as Baynes came out, the next play was a alley oop dunk for Robinson. Al struggled with Kanter. Let's get the defense working inside a little better, and keep the offense flowing, and put this away.

Watching Terry after watching Kyrie is like watching Pee Wee's Big Adventure after watching the Godfather. Kyrie is always so in control, knows exactly what he wants to do, where he wants to get and how he wants to do it. Terry is a spaz who just runs as fast he can in one direction while dribbling, until he gets stopped and then turns and runs in another direction.

there was literally zero people suggesting that Jaylen be traded now
Or at least not for anything but fair value

Edit: tonite is also good Jaylen.. I don’t think he’s been this aggressive all year

Making him a primary scorer on the bench unit helps a lot to get him out of his head and let him be decisive

I come back to the fouls. Jaylen's first two drives tonight, he got foul calls when he got hit.

All year long (and all last year), he's been hacked with impunity when he drove, so I truly believe it makes him tentative, and as a result, even when he does drive, he shies away from contact and ends up trying to take a really difficult shot. When he got those first 2 calls tonight, it's like the bell went off.

Say what you will of Terry, but I love watching him rebound.
Agree. He seems to put himself if good position and he has springs in his legs. Rondo-esque in terms of great rebounding from the PG position.

Instead of the lobs, they'd be better off just throwing that floater at the rim like Tatum just did, because if it misses, the other Celtic is in position for the rebound.

Marcus Smart knows how to throw a lob. He's the only one that realizes Al can barely jump high enough to get his hands over the rim.

Fuck me. Every fast break to move this lead over 10, and the ball finds Marcus Smart for 3....Just pass it Marcus. You only make the wide opens from the top of the key. Just take those.

Jesus, Al's blocking game is on point tonight, but guys are getting position anywhere they want on him.

Pretty funny Al is just playing for the block on these rebound opportunities...and it’s working.

They do need a big body in there ... giving up too many offensive rebounds, and the defense is too easy to penetrate underneath. At least Al's got his shot-blocking game going.
