Just got home, and read the thread. I saw a bit of a different game than some folks here. Honestly, it felt like the C's were in control the entire way. The Clippers went on a crazy hot stretch out of halftime from deep to get back in the game, but at no point did it feel like the C's couldn't turn it on when they wanted. Jaylen got hit with 3 fouls in the first half, 2 of which were bullshit, IMO, and had to spend a good part of the 2nd half avoiding the 4th. Got the 4th, then got the 5th (also bullshit, IMO). It affected them defensively because the aggressiveness he was showing in the first half on Kawhi couldn't continue.
Marcus was a machine tonight, and TimeLord is a complete game changer. The C's, and specifically, the Jays, couldn't hit the side of a barn from deep (although a ridiculous amount of in and outs that could have easily gone down), but Smart, White, Rob were there when needed.
Looking at the box score, both teams took 39 shots from 3. The C's made 11 (28.2%) and the Clips made 15 (38.5%). That's a 12 point swing in the Clippers favor. They lost by 6 and Tatum missed 4 free throws on top of that.
Did I mention, Malcolm Brogdon didn't play.
This C's team is stacked, and if healthy, should beat anyone in front of them unless they got like 5-35 from deep. It was glaringly obvious all night who the better team was. Oh, and the refs sucked balls.
