I was thinking about Danny's affinity for offense (IT, Kemba, Kyrie) compared to Brad's. I wonder if it's a GM vs. recent coach thing where most coaches prefer defense whereas most GMs see the league going to scoring first and Brad was pissed about planning around that? Granted I have minimal complaints about both, but Brad's preference for no weak links is obvious even to a non-NBA junkie.
yes

When JB came in for Grant flow got worse.
In the regular season you have to put in your star, but in a playoff game maybe you stay with the lineup that is rolling.

We’re watching them win now on nights they shoot poorly from three. Defense is, as expected, a weapon again with a healthy and less rusty Rob getting minutes.

Imagine if he actually spent his time with Grant and Smart to pick up the fake DHO and drive to the basket from outside the key.
Imagine if TL spent his time with Grant Williams, Portis, and their great shooting coach, Lethal Shooter aka Chris Matthews

Clips had little answer for when Smart and White got past the initial defender.

Grant only had the one big shot but I thought he had a great game. Worked hard all night.

TL continues to shine.

Really nice win.

Stoudemire doing a good job filling in for Joe, but honestly I think I could be on the sideline and these guys would win at least 50 games. Wagon.

Clippers may be my favorite opponent of the past 5 years. Very little B.S., well coached, tight games. And they’re constructed so similarly to the C’s, it’s just fun to watch. Helps when the good guys win.

Jays came up small in winning time—but White and Smart (with some Al and Grant) carried us through

The Jays won the Duo Battle by 8, and the Celtics won by 6.

Lue sat KL a bit too long. The Clips needed both of their Duo in the fourth.

That was a really nice win. When healthy, the Clips are a loaded, well-coached team. Best in the West, IMO (with KL and PG healthy)

Just got home, and read the thread. I saw a bit of a different game than some folks here. Honestly, it felt like the C's were in control the entire way. The Clippers went on a crazy hot stretch out of halftime from deep to get back in the game, but at no point did it feel like the C's couldn't turn it on when they wanted. Jaylen got hit with 3 fouls in the first half, 2 of which were bullshit, IMO, and had to spend a good part of the 2nd half avoiding the 4th. Got the 4th, then got the 5th (also bullshit, IMO). It affected them defensively because the aggressiveness he was showing in the first half on Kawhi couldn't continue.

Marcus was a machine tonight, and TimeLord is a complete game changer. The C's, and specifically, the Jays, couldn't hit the side of a barn from deep (although a ridiculous amount of in and outs that could have easily gone down), but Smart, White, Rob were there when needed.

Looking at the box score, both teams took 39 shots from 3. The C's made 11 (28.2%) and the Clips made 15 (38.5%). That's a 12 point swing in the Clippers favor. They lost by 6 and Tatum missed 4 free throws on top of that.

Did I mention, Malcolm Brogdon didn't play.

This C's team is stacked, and if healthy, should beat anyone in front of them unless they got like 5-35 from deep. It was glaringly obvious all night who the better team was. Oh, and the refs sucked balls.

I think you are underestimating the incredible improvement he has made and the limited reps he can realistically do in the offseason given his injuries. He shot 47% FT as a sr and was 72% last year and 67 this year. That is some improvement.
