I'm traveling tomorrow morning, so I'm putting this up now so I don't forget.

The Wizards gave a surprisingly spirited challenge to Cleveland the other night, they're in a bit of a groove (by their own standards), especially shooting the 3. So this is definitely not the night to be lax about perimeter defense.

Waste the Wizards. Paddle Poole, in Particular.

Will be in the house tonight. Last time was a win, but they played like ass--Wiz more lost it than Celtics won it. Hoping for a more decisive win tonight.

I'll be there too with my 2 kids, who are hoping Tatum will play. I would also like a more decisive win by the Cs tonight.

He teased us with a vision of what this team could be then ... poof. Hope it's not serious.

According to C's announcers, it's not the surgically repaired ankle.

C's really have it on cruise control. Maybe that won't matter against the Wizards, but Boston is kind of dicking around.

Damn good defense by Queta not to bite on those pump fakes (which he would have for sure just a month ago), and then to get the swat.

This has to be the shortest game thread of the year which I guess kinda makes sense for a tacked on game like this against a 3-win team that overlapped with the Pats.

In Tillman, Springer and Walsh, Boston has three of the most offensively challenged players in the NBA.

Weird start time against the weakest team in NBA - just us diehards.

That ship may have sailed, but I still think Lonnie Walker would be a nice addition to the bench.
I can't wait for whatever hidden, un-realized gem Brad will trade for Springer and 2 2nds. And we could run a thread guessing who and none of us would guess right and at the same time be completely mind blown we missed them

For those just getting to the game thread and panicking about Porzingis (as I did), he said he left the game for precautionary reasons and feels like he will be good to go for the next game.

Thank you, this is exactly why I came to this thread:redwine:

Can’t imagine we’ve won a ton of games while shooting 58% from the line. Game was never really in doubt, but FT shooting was comically bad.

The FT shooting was just to keep the game interesting.

The lower bowl of the building had to be at least 70% Cs fans, right? When that last "Let's Go C's" chant broke out at the end, Springer started laughing - I presume because it was so loud.

Give or take, and certainly by the end of the game it was at least that much. In our section, three very spirited Wizards fans gave it their best, and I give them credit--not like their team gave them much to cheer for, but this was very much a Celtics crowd.

Fun fact: with their third and final game in DC this season now wrapped, the Celtics have more wins at Capital One Arena (3) than the Wizards do (2).

I was way up at the top and it seemed like mostly Celtics fans there too. My 10 year old son was cracking up about the "Let's Go Celtics" chants. Free throw shooting was oddly terrible--I believe both White *and* Holiday had double misses. Kornet is normally quite reliable but also missed several times. I'm assuming it was just a weird night in that dept.--fortunately, it didn't hurt overall.

Kornet was 22/26 (84.6%) on FTs before last night and he went 5-8 (assuming NBA.com has updated their stats by now). He's currently 27/34 (79.4%). Almost doubled his misses.
