Yep - got baited into the bertuzzi games. Marchand gave up goal 1 with that shit, ultimately cost them.

Effort from the Ottawa game on hasn't been up to this team's level. Granted they've had a lot of personnel shuffling to do, but hopefully this is just a small slump.

What team are you referring to then? Sure isn't the Bruins.
Well, the Bruins and the Red Wings were playing and I said I wasn't talking about Detroit, so I would think you could figure it out. However, going into tonight's game, 57.14% of the Bruins' goals have been scored by just three players and I continually watch the team have trouble clearing the puck from their zone, putting passes on opponents, sticks, fanning on shots, and recently they haven't done a great job in helping out their goalies. Injuries may have a part in some of their problems but they also don't seem to have anyone on their farm club that they have called up who has done the job.

They are 11-3-2 on the year with the best goal differential in the entire NHL. How in God's name can you say they aren't a good team? If you continually watch this team and this is what you take away from it I would question what you are watching.

They’re in first place in arguably the best division in hockey.

Probably around the same as every other team if you removed their 3 best players.
That was the point... stepson and Toe said ‘but their top line is scoring 57.14% of their goals’ as if that’s a bad thing. It just so happens that three of the best players in the nhl are on their top line. To try and ignore that to make an argument that the team isn’t that good because of that is crazy.

And in their last two games, Bergeron had a goal and an assist, Pastrnak had a goal, and Marchand had neither, but each of them had a +/- of -2 for a -6 total. When those three are shut down, the club doesn't have much to take their places. Last year in the finals against the Blues, those three got 22.7% of the Bruins' goals. Heinen and DeBrusk are tied for fourth in scoring on this year's team with 6 points apiece. Goalies aside, they have 8 players with no goals, 5 with one goal each, 7 with two goals--20 players with 19 goals total and a merry-go-round to their farm system.

In one of those games they scored 4 (should have been 5) goals. We’d all like more depth scoring but to start your argument with this not being a good team is absurd. They had a bad game against Detroit, shit happens.

Bottom line is, if you had posted something like. “I’m starting to become concerned with the secondary scoring on this team, and think they’ve become too reliant on the top line for offense, especially in the playoffs when teams will focus on shutting that line down.” Instead of what you posted, no one would’ve had an issue with that. Instead you posted a one line inflammatory statement. So in other words, post better.
