How can you make a clean pass like he did, to a teammate, if he didn’t have control and possession? I can understand if he dove for a loose puck and swept it to a teammate, but he was in possession on a rush and on his feet.

As a tribute to Jack, the ref enforced the slashing threshold from two decades ago.
They started to turn it around on Saturday. Being sick of losing is a motivating factor. Plus when noise starts being made about firing the coach, trading veterans, etc.
The problem is we all know that will be called exactly opposite at a time that will hurt the Bruins without fail.
Either Jack is lying about what he's been told or medical have no clue. It was brought up on the pregame with him.
I hope for his sake, he’s just keeping it out of the public. Otherwise, yikes that is scary stuff.
Couldn't they have talked to him between periods, rather than during the action? It just makes the pauses more painful to not show him on camera and have the game going on with no comment on it.
I loved that he was out front and center. Nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to be embarrassed about.

I'm glad they did it for everyone to see and hear. And, this is not directed to GE or anyone here, but as someone who lives away from Boston, everyone who made "Jack is drunk" jokes can go to hell.

Talking to him during the game absolutely does not put him "front and center". Front and center would mean having him on camera without the game going on, and that would have been better. Thankfully they did show him on camera right before the commercial.
The Vocal Aphasia is a symptom, not the cause. I'm kinda glad I'm gamecasting this one. I had a family member age terribly starting with it and its just hard to hear for me. I hope Jack's retirement is the best it can be and he is as healthy as he can be otherwise.
Eh, I understood it when it happened, and the more I think about it it's no different than someone passing to someone with an open lane who is offsides. If you make a tape to tape 10 foot pass to someone offsides it's called, how was that different?I second this remark.
My response to this is that whether or not you think the specific offense was offside, that Big Don's general observation stands.
It was offsides, it was a 2 inch version of my example. It sucks, bang bang play, but it's no different than someone jumping the line before a pass from the red line
edit I think the Bs have been burned by a couple judgement calls over the years so people assume the worst, but that was cut and dry
