So, we need the Bucks to beat the Pistons by 8 and the Magic to beat the Knicks by any amount, right?
The third tiebreaker is points scored, so unless Detroit scores 142 or Milwaukee scores 148 in their final game, tied point differential would go to Boston. So I think the Bucks only need to beat the Pistons by 5, or Pistons beat Bucks by 6. But I'm terrible at figuring the wild card out.

edit: which creates a perverse incentive for Detroit + Milwaukee: if the game is within 5 points in either direction, both teams would advance (assuming Magic beat the Knicks, which starts 30 minutes earlier, so they'll know the outcome by the 4th quarter).

I haven’t been paying attention: Is there any way for the Lakers to win again? Because I hope they do.
The Lakers will not be repeating, but still hold the lead in All-Time NBA Cup Championships

Yeah we didn't get enough mileage out of the Lakers banner-hanging ceremony last year.

I could see some CUP success catapulting a young team like the Pistons to the playoffs (sort of what it did for Indy last season)
