No game thread and it's Friday? Time to get this going. Same thing as the last few weeks: try to contain a very explosive QB in Kyler Murray although he is dealing with a sore right shoulder but is expected to play. Gilmore will be 1-on-1 with Hopkins all day. No Fitz to worry about in the short and intermediate areas of the field, but Christian Kirk is very good as he is averaging over 15 yards per reception. Kenyan Drake and Kyler Murray present a very explosive tandem in the rushing game as well as they combine to average 5.29 YPC over 238 carries. Defensively, Budda Baker and Patrick Peterson head up a pretty good secondary. Isaiah Simmons is starting to make an impact all over the field. Cam should be able to attack Dre Kirkpatrick however. They can also be run on as they are currently giving up 4.6 yards per carry.

The Texans could have been run on as well, and were in the opening drive. Then ... pfft.

Yeah, they had to throw to catch up later, but abandoning the run after the first drive was malpractice. If its works early against Arizona, stay with it

i have watched arizona close on offense they like to widen the field and run or throw a 10 yard route murray can break out of any sack filtz was their 4th option anyway its hopkins kirk and drake edmons and its seems they love to bitiz on defense their cb's can be thrown on simmons and baker is the best safety duo i kinda like ne this week but if cam throw a pick early that couild be the diff

Nugget from nfl.com that hadn't occured to me:

"After facing Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson this season, Bill Belichick is probably ready to end his tour of the Quarterback Revolution (with Kyler Murray today)."

Are the Patriots the only team to have faced all 6 of these guys this year?
Lamar has been average this year (ranked 22nd in QBR) but yeah good observation.

It's also been a while since BB had to look across the field and think 'Oh. So, that's what it's like to have a good QB.'

I think they’d have to be, since none of the other AFCE teams play BAL, and no team in another division could play teams in the NFC West, AFC West, AFC East, AFC North and AFC South.

NFL QB needs to know a free rusher is coming?
This is not the first time this season that Cam has seemed apparently oblivious to a rusher right in his face. On the one hand, I appreciate that he's trying to make a play in the face of pressure. On the other hand... well, the other hand is total disaster, so yeah.

One of the negatives of having a shitty team is you get mostly the B and C team of announcers.............like these two nitwits.
