Rotten Apple
Tatum takes a ridiculously hard long two for no reason.
We're down 20 at home to a bad Knicks team who played a grueling game last night.

I’m just at a loss as to how they can be this bad right now... did Brad stop coaching or have they just stopped listening?

Even the Knicks TV crew is killing the Celtics offense. "No chemistry. Tentative. The futility continues."
Yep...it seems every player is trying to decide, every time they touch the ball, if they'll be seen as too greedy, or not greedy enough. There's too many mouths to feed. Talent needs to be consolidated.

Do the Celtics have any beat writers worth following? This team must despise playing with each other.
Yeah, how does no one have anything besides the party line at this point? There HAS to be more than "open threes aren't falling" and the like.

I’m not giving up either but I’m past the point of thinking it’s just growing pains and that they’ll flip a switch at some point and go on a huge run. Something is wrong.

deep inside Guido territory
They are currently losing by 25 plus to a team at home that is 4-14 and is 2-8 in their last 10 games. Something has to change with this team to wake them up. They have been playing terrible basketball for the last 10-12 games. Settling for 3's way too much. No defense, no toughness, and frankly playing like they are an entitled team.

I've been beating this drum for awhile, but I think the buck has to stop with Brad for this.

Even if the Celtics somehow come back to win this game, it's literally just going to disguise how bad they really are right now. I can't even wrap my head around how excited I was for this season a month or so ago, and where I am at this exact moment.

The fact that Tatum is still shooting long 2s 18 games in reflects massive weakness on Brad's part. It's not hard. He does it? You bench him. Same with Smart shots early in the shot clock.

These are minor symptoms, but they're indicative of a coach who's not in control of his team, and it's showing.

I'm now inclined to believe that there is some kind of Melo-esque poison in the locker room and we should get rid of it before we embarrass ourselves further.

Maybe give Tatum & Brown a lobotomy so they forget all the hype from last year

Other than that, I got nothing.

I just don’t get it. Something is really wrong with this team. I’m not even sore what to change, but sure feels like something is way off

Can someone explain to me what exactly Aron Baynes did wrong in his 8 minutes at the start of the game? They were -4 when he was in there.

Brad did the same thing last game, started him, played him 7 minutes and then benched him for the rest of the game.

I don't have a fucking clue what Brad is doing right now, and I'm starting to feel like maybe he doesn't either. It's a lot easier to win games when nobody expects you to, and maybe that's really what the last few years have been all about.

for some inexplicable reason they like it when Marcus shoots otherwise I have to imagine someone would have told him to fucking stop it by now. But intangibles!!!

He had those 2 fouls about 2 minutes in, and Brad let him play another 6 minutes after that.

Then he has to sit for the remaining 14 minutes to avoid a third foul? Nope.

I swear to God sometimes Brad forgets who he has on the bench.
