By that measure then every game is a bit sloppy. But that’s just my opinion.

I guess I just don’t see the point. If Thursday football really is sloppier, either it contributes to greater variance and more upset potential or it doesn’t. And the statistics say that it doesn’t. So why can’t you measure a team by a Thursday game?

Edit: I would say that er should judge any team by a single game - Thursday or any other day.
I don't think it leads to more upsets, if anything I'd say it leads to worse offensive performances, but I haven't looked at the data to see if that's really true.
