It's criminal that Hayward only has two FGA considering he spent a lot of time sharing the floor with the second unit and is coming off his best game. Rozier and company needs to chill out and move the ball around
Well he took that midrange which was all back iron there. He still isn't right yet to lean on offensively.

Well, Kyrie makes two impossibly bad fouls. Going to be an uphill climb with him sitting on the bench most of the rest of this one.

What we are watching here is a series of referee foul calls punctuated by a bit of sometimes NBA-level basketball.

Just to be "clear," you can't try to go after a ball from behind if there is nobody between the offensive player and the basket?

Brain dead from Marcus. Just give him the layup. I have to be perfectly honest...this is my least favorite iteration of the Celtics to root for since the lottery team in Brad’s first year. I hate their energy level and the way they play.

Got to be honest I thought that was a pretty clear foul on Kyrie.
If you throw your head back it should be an auto-tech.

This new clear path rule is dumb as fuck by the way. So a foul takes away a chance at 2 points and the response is not to just five auto free throws but rather a chance at 5 points? Like, what the fuck? Do they give two penalty kicks in soccer, put two men on base for a HBP?

  1. Ball is ahead of the tip of the circle in the backcourt
  2. No defender is ahead of the offensive player with the transition scoring opportunity
  3. Player with the transition scoring opportunity is in control of the ball (or a pass has been thrown to him)
  4. The foul deprives his team of an opportunity to score

It’s still the team from two years ago for me. But yeah the longer into the season this goes, they will certainly compete for the crown.

Rozier just makes me irrationally angry this year, that used to be Morris and Smart's role.

Just in case anyone is wondering, Utah also played last night, and they’re the ones on a road trip multiple time zones away.

Last year’s underdog squad was incredible. I’m appreciating the way they made the most of their talent every time I watch this year’s team make the least of their talent.
