The 3 point play and-1 foul call on White...

When he was the weak side defender and committed a clear (boneheaded) goaltending by grabbing the rim when the ball was coming off the backboard gets my vote of the most inexplicable call in a game with A LOT of them.

If the NBNA really doesn't want everybody standing at the 3pt line they should revisit how often they call offensive fouls. thge reward for attacking the rim is not high enough imho

Marcus really great tonight. Playing to his strengths.

Can’t forget Pritchard’s contributions to this W. That lineup started the pressure D that made OKC absolutely wilt. Giddey especially had his soul ripped from his body.

Gutty win when they didn’t have it for most of the night.

It looked like he might have been headed for an awkward fall. If that was the case, I'd take him protecting his body over 2 points

Smart was a beast closing out the 4th. Fantastic win. Love this team.

Let me say it first ... this is a game they lose last year.

This team has legit elite swagger.
100% agree. Not saying they are them but the 80s Celtics use to do the same thing. Sleep walk through some regular season games against inferior opponents and turn it on late to win. The regular season is a long drag and every team inevitable has games where they just aren’t fully engaged. The fact that they had an on switch tonight is super impressive to me.

Yeah, possible.... I think it was that, maybe along with the fact he thought the ball was going in and it didn't matter.

Doesn't make calling him for a foul and giving them a 3 point play any less bizarre by the refs.

Celtics rope-a-doped for the first 34 minutes or so then pressured the rest of the way and OKC had no answer.
When SGA is out they look like an inexperienced lotto team. Many of those TOs when he was on the bench.

When he is on the floor, they look quite different.

Marcus was a -13 tonight, in the latest installment of Ignore Single Game Plus Minus.

Bench continues to pull its weight.

Agreed on the refs. I get annoyed by how certain players are called differently, but this might have been up there on worst called games I've seen

I think my favorite play of the game may have been when the Celtics were down two and OKC went into a zone. Tatum immediately showed in the middle and Smart hit him for the embarrassingly easy dunk to tie it.

I feel like previous seasons it would take like three trips down the floor trying to shoot their way out of a zone before going with the obvious zone buster play.

Yes, it felt very familiar, didn’t it? You don’t want the team to make a habit of letting inferior competition hang around, but it’s nice that they know how to flip a switch.

Yeah, the defense certainly hasn’t been consistent but when they needed to give maximum defensive effort like they did in the fourth tonight this team can clearly flip a switch and put on the clamps. The ball pressure and steals the guards generated down the stretch was extremely impressive. Josh Giddey is going to have a long flight home because Pritchard and White completely blew his ass up in the fourth.
