I'm not even sure what the comp is. Just the size, strength, and outside shooting combined with that footwork and athleticism/defense. He is playing with such determination this season.

Smart, the most negatively Tweeted NBA player, has 18 points on 7-16 from the field with nine assists, five steals, one block, one board and a lot of Marcus moments. Shooting aside, he is having a great start to the year.

Not really the same, but Dunan'seque. Not necessarily the best at any one feature, but very very good at everytning.

Nice to see Saddiq Bey missing some shots against Boston for once.

C's showed some real mental toughness to win this one. Would have been so easy for them to let down.

I was thinking about this, but honestly Durant is pretty close, where Durant has more touch but Tatum is stronger going to the rim

You know what’s better than five in a row? Six in a row of course. Punk the Pistons!
I think I might play Vonleh over Griffin right now. The guy just can't jump or box out, it seems.
back to back, this will be a great win if they get it
Tatum is going to have to play a lot of minutes in this one for the C's to win, I suspect.
Need to go to PP. need some energy
Just highlighting some of the best of the gamethread

I have nothing to add other than this team seems to finally be acting like contenders. Tatum going out and dominating a weaker team short handed on a back to back is legit stuff.

Healthy Paul George 2.0
They are similar in that they are big guys who can handle the ball and are snipers from deep, but PG never shot better than 68% within 3 feet, outside of this season so far, at 71%. Tatum has shot 74% the last two seasons, and 81% so far this year. He does it much more often than PG as well, he’s just a much more physically imposing player.

I think Tatum is a really tough comp, because he’s a little bit of a lot of superstars. As far as his overall caliber, I’d say the answer is somewhere between prime PG and KD.
