Sosh-mates, please forgive my misunderstanding of the Game thread starting rules if the previous game was an OT loss.
We have the B’s taking on the Blues…. So far at the end of 1 period the score is 0-0. Bruins are at least getting some shots on net….

Mistake after mistake. It’s hard to watch. Basic connections not made, passes not handled, or sent into no-man’s land.

It would be nice if we played better but I am not sure we can actually play much better. It‘s not like all of a sudden most of our players become highly skilled technicians.

That goal is a perfect example. An absolutely simple pass to Marchand is terrible and instead of a break shorthanded the Blues come back, set up, and score.

It’s maddening but I think it’s our level.

I’d love to see Monty’s head roll because that’s sports catharsis and there’s a growing sample that he’s just not up to it and they aren’t responding to anything. At the same time my brain tells me it doesn’t much matter who is in charge of these guys.

The season. Give up a goal and then play undisciplined, sloppy hockey to instantly put the Blues back on the PP.

So yes more of the same haha. Normally I switch back and forth between games, but with the way they've played this year I just keep the score open on my browser to switch when goals happen

Kazakhstan’s goaltender in NHL 98 had a few experiences that would have made Eddie LeBec wince. No idea if he ever saved a penguin in the ice show, though.

They weren’t that good last year and were propped up by the goalies. They aren’t getting the same goaltending this year.

We can complain about the penalties and they are an issue but once again there is a goose egg on the scoreboard. That’s the biggest problem. They can’t score.
