Kornet with 8 points and 7 rebounds in 13 minutes. Am I going to have to retract my pre-season opinions on BOTH Hauser and Kornet?

Is it just me or am I seeing a lot more Duncan/Manu/Parker year Spurs-esque ball movement, extra pass, back cuts, etc this season?

Or am I just scarred from watching the Finals and we were doing this much of last year too?

Doesn't seem like the team misses Ime on offense, that's for sure.

Starting to remind me of the team that beat the ever loving piss out of everyone down the stretch last season, but with even better offense. If Rob can come back at even 80%…League fucked.

At their best late last regular season I think where they were really excelling on offense was A) absurdly dominant defense leading to easy offense the other way and B) ball movement leading to open threes. They’re still getting B, working on A, but yeah we are seeing a lot more of C) using space and movement to create more easy buckets for everybody.

I don’t think we saw nearly as much of getting Tatum the ball on the move downhill, for example. It’s ISO sometimes but it’s optimized ISO.

And a lot fewer of those possessions where everyone just watches Tatum or Brown go to work and the Jay without the ball sits in the corner or something.
