Leaving Hayward in right now is dumb. His man has drilled at least three back breaking threes with him nowhere in sight.

Brown's finishing skills have yet to come together. When he jumps, it's never straight up or to the rim. It's always a fadeaway, and it usually misses.

What you are gonna do is make him put the ball on the floor, period. You can turn this team over because they like to throw it around. They shoot too well to be overhelping when you can’t physically get back, which Hayward can’t right now.

The fight was nice and this was a schedule loss anyway but you aren’t going to win games dropping 37 inefficient points in a half on the road.

This team has large problems. I think you have to swap Morris and Hayward for now.

Regardless of the exact steps taken, Brad must clarify guys' roles. He's making everyone a step slower with the overthinking and indecision that comes from not knowing who is who on offense.

Brad Stevens seems to have lost his magic touch with play design coming out of timeouts. The Celtics have had mostly poor to indifferent opportunities where they used to have gems.

Weird how they keep playing better in the second half. It the can replace the stretches where they are simply horrid with stretches where they are just mediocre or even a normal level of bad, they won’t have these giant holes to dig out of and can start winning some of these.

Agreed. There’s a lack of unit cohesion. He may have gone too far with the “no positions” concept. Having Kyrie, Rozier, and Smart all on the floor at the same time is just crazy. Hayward’s usage is also broken. It’s just a mess right now.

Feel like you HAVE to try some two big lineups. They are getting absolutely roasted on the boards and in the PNR game defensively because the help man is always way too small to handle the roll man. And they aren’t leveraging their smallness on O with ball and body movement, so the advantage isn’t coming to fruition.

I want a whole fuckton of Theis moving forward. He won’t kill your spacing or movement on O, and he can rebound the ball and provide legit help D. They need more guys out there doing little things.

There was some Baynes + Theis last year, right?

Horford played really bad tonight. The team looked great during the stretch Theis was on the floor. I think Theis should take Baynes minutes unless they are playing Philly.

How long until it is OK to criticize Stevens? Is he still in "trying things" mode?
People can and will get after him now. Not sure 13 games is enough of a sample size to judge anything given that he is trying to figure out rotations and touches. Furthermore, the Celtics just aren't hitting their shots, open or otherwise. If you draw up plays and the players cannot convert, even when they get the right looks, I am not sure its on the coach.

That said, I am glad I don't have to listen to Boston sports radio. The Celtics and Patriots are going to have a lot of hot taking and misery the early part of this week.

Not necessarily Baynes and Theis together. Brad needs to put Baynes or Theis out there with Horford. He's only using one of the 3 at any given time, and it's fucking killing them.

The easiest solution right now is to put Baynes in the starting lineup, move Gordon to the second unit. Try Kyrie, Tatum, Brown, Horford and Baynes, with Rozier, Smart, Morris, Gordon and Theis off the bench.

His need to put GH out there with the starters is costing us on a nightly basis, IMO.
