These matchups ain't like they used to be, but it's always fun when the Bs take on Montréal.

McAvoy should be back. Lauko, too?

I got stuff for breakfast but I ran out of Prosecco on Friday. I think both of our local convenient stores have some cheap bubbly stuff. I’m not sure if my wife will want mimosas but you have to be ready. Plus, it worked Friday morning so I don’t want to mess with success.

Looks like McAvoy, Lauko and Mitchell are in; Brown and Shattenkirk are out.

Marchand - Zacha - Pastrnak
van Riemsdyk - Coyle - Frederic
Heinen - Poitras - DeBrusk
Lauko - Beecher - Steen

Lohrei - McAvoy
Lindholm - Carlo
Forbort - Mitchell

In the simulacrum
I know that injuries, suspensions and ongoing assessments of new players all factor in, but it is remarkable how much the Bruins are still fiddling with lines and pairs.

I think that the third line gets more than one goal tonight!

To my very untrained eye, Shattenrkirk has been horrible. I'm surprised Mitchell is playing over him, and think it's probably a wash, but I'm not unhappy for him to get a game off.

Shattenkirk hasn’t been very good. Thought Mitchell held his own on the top pairing with Lindholm while McAvoy was out. Probably a toss up between him and Shattenkirk. A rotation is fine with me.

Glad to see that, as opposed to last year, the Habs actually have a competitive team. I say that only because it will be all the more gratifying when we kick the living crap out of them.

They refused to call the first penalty on Montreal.
It was a mugging when the Bruins came back from behind the goal and in front of the goalie that completely stopped any shot/pass... hooking, tripping, and maybe even a slash all directly in unobstructed view of the ref

They just refuse to call any penalty on the Canadiens... can't wait to see the first one they are going to call on the Bruins...

Good lord. So nothing is a penalty, eh? Oh wait. I forgot that the next flea that lands on a Hab is going to be...you know.

only 10 faceoffs... felt like there were even fewer stoppages than that.... lots of free flowing play

That was so obviously onside that I am forced to conclude that the refs are in the bag. Or on shrooms.
