Cash made some really curious pitching decisions last night.

He put Wacha in there down 3 in the 7th, and left him in there to be absolutely battered. Then finally took him out and used Chargois down 8 runs in the 9th, instead of bringing him in earlier to try to keep it closer. He hasn't used Kitteridge or Fairbanks at all yet, and they had 3 days off before this series and another off day today.

It's odd for sure. I think Chargois was the first guy warming up in the pen early with Baz on the mound. Maybe Cash figured he wouldn't use him after that window went by, but Chargois asked for in-game work? Or, Cash is thinking there will be no rest for his best guys in the next 3 games? Odd.

Slight correction: down 2 in the 7th. He came back in the 8th down 3.
