Feel lucky to have two regulation wins so far. Only 1 good period out of 6, Rask and Halak being their best players so far. Hope they get it in gear soon.

2 points is 2 points, much better than the alternative obviously.

I like that Halak was also solid out of the gate, the guys in net pushing each other and also keeping each other fresh again this season is a good thing.

Halak is ridiculous. The PK looked good and they had some good defensive stretches. The O is snakebit and the PP is not good but trending up - they didn't look totally disconnected tonight.

Plus two Western away home openers against 2 playoff teams is a tough draw.

Sorry I missed you, we wound up going back to a bar near where we were staying in Chandler. I'm too old to stay out to 1:00 / net 4:00.

It was a decent enough arena but man, having to drive an hour out there evey game... ouch. I wonder if it's always that much traffic and lines to get in or if they just weren't ready for people actually coming to a game.

I've driven out there a few times when I was stationed in New Mexico, always showed up early for the games so traffic in wasn't an issue, but traffic out was always pretty rough. The area around the arena is nice though, so I just hung out for a bit before going.

The arena is nice, but man the music blares so loud. It felt like a rock concert with a hockey game between songs. San Jose has been a much better experience, in all honesty.

Hope you guys enjoy Vegas.

Interesting you say that about the music because I honstly didn't think it was that bad compared to what goes on at Bruins games. Maybe that says more about the shit they do here which is pretty sad if so.

Yeah the sight lines are solid, music wasn't good but wasn't Dallas-levels of awful... it's just the location that is absurd.
