In his limited minutes Baynes +/- probably leads the team. Aron changes the dynamic when he's on the floor. The defense improves and so does the offense, it was the same when Theis played his limited minutes. Brad is forcing this small ball lineup to start games for some odd reason. Not starting Gordon while he is on a minutes restriction and working his way back is the obvious answer. And he really fills an important role when they go against a traditional center like Drummond or Embiid. Is there a place that tracks what Drummond’s rebounding was like with Baynes on the court v. Baynes odd the court?
I think he looked really good. He missed a lot of shots but it looked like he was having no problem getting to his spots and getting good shots that just didn't fall. He also made a lot of slick passes and played pretty good defense. He got switched onto Blake a few times and mostly held his own.I only saw the fourth quarter. How is Gordon Hayward progressing? He missed a few shots, so I hope he gets better later in the season.
