Third game of the season for Grzelyck. What’s old is new again. After beating the new old stars the Bruins take on the old new stars.

It doesn’t matter what iteration the Bs face - the home team is feeling it.

Speaking of threes, the Bruins have knocked out the trifecta of wins, regulation, shootout, and now overtime. Bergeron, Hall, and Foligno (!!!) have 3 goals each, and three goal-scorer Greer returns to the lineup.

How about a third win in a row boys?

Score early, score often.

Win.

NHL.com has Foligno with 2 goals last year. Can he get the double up in Game 7 of the season?

I don't mean to be a turn in the punchbowl but I don't think Foligno has been very good.

By expected goals for per 60 he's 13th out of 14 Bruin forwards (only better than Studnicka). By expected goals against per 60 he's 12th out out 14 forwards only ahead of Pastrnak and Krejci. Pasta and Krejci can be lousy defensively because of all the offense they bring. Foligno is not really bringing anything to the table offensively or defensively. He's the only forward with a sub 50% xGF%. Monty is kind of giving him the Kuraly treatment, only 5% o zone starts, so that needs to be factored in, but I don't think Foligno is much different than he was a year ago. He's just getting the positive shooting regression. 3 goals on 8 shots. Last season he had a comical 2 goals on 99 shots. That was not going to continue.

I’m really surprised that Carlo is back this quickly. Hopefully he’ll get sheltered minutes on the 3rd pair tonight.

Lauko sent to Providence to make room. They’re back to 13F/8D (including Stralman).

I admit I’m way more down on these guys than most here, but the fact that 11-13-12 seems to be an unbreakable line under two different coaches now is mystifying to me.

What a weird powerplay design... to get you 2 feet in front of the goalie with your back to the goalie and the puck on your stick... not a lot you can do with it at that point...

Stars announcer "one thing that's been noticeable tonight, the defense core for the Boston Bruins have a lot of time been puck focused"

^^^ not just tonight...

Generated seven high-danger chances that period, which is great. But gave up four defensively, so could be better.

God I am so happy to see at least 1 more year of Bergy. Best 2 way center last 20 years, and one of the top all time
Yes.

And Yes.

I am emotionally ready for this to be his last ride. I was not at the end of last season.
