I've been bouncing between the Bs and Cs, so halftime my first extended watching. I like Tuukka in this setting and I think he could get really good at it. Plus he watches it like he wants to jump in there

Beating the Leafs in game 7 was fun, and I always want this team to win. But also maybe it saved Monty’s job and that was a bad outcome, too. Sports can cut both ways simultaneously.
If one game that was won on a funny carom saved his job, then the organization is rotted from the inside out.
Dallas PP was ranked 30th in the league heading into the game. They have more power play goals in 30 minutes tonight than they had all season
Point taken but that was most definitely an intentional bank pass/designed play. No doubt about that.
No disagreement about organizations who make decisions on micro-results. But I think ours may have done just this and that’s pretty damning.

I don’t think it really does the trick to can Montgomery and just promote an assistant.
Or their forwards aren't very good and a bunch of guys who stepped up in bigger roles last year (Zacha, Geekie, Coyle) are falling back down to Earth plus Marchand getting old / recovering from multiple offseason surgeries. Not sure why they would suddenly tune him out after 2 years of tuning him in(?).
Well if that’s what’s happening then they’re fucked anyway. Why not try a new voice before just punting a season away?
Little bit of both. The talent at forward is uninspiring but the system hasn’t been adjusted either to try something different.
Yes they’re a little light on top 6 talent, but they’re playing like no one knows where the fuck anyone is supposed to be and generating zero offense. They weren’t ready to start the season at all, and there has been zero adjustments other then changing lines 2/3 times a game, which is probably fucking up the players more.
