eh, does it matter? We supposedly had the pitching advantage the last two days, right?Valdez just eliminated any pitching advantage the Sox may have had going into Friday. If their starter doesn't have it they have the horses to mix and match their way to a win.
Houck should have started the sixth and that he didn’t appear at all in a pivotal game is concerning. That Houck has only pitched one inning in the series is odd. Then again, the way they pull him anytime he runs into any kind of trouble is also confusing. Of course, it probably didn’t make a difference since this team hasn’t hit a lick the last few days. This team isn’t going to win unless it scores like 5+
I can’t blame Sale. Sox couldn’t hit, and finally, having a DH playing 1st cost us. Dalbec might have made that dribbler into a double play by catching the throw and getting Altuve at third.Feels like a pretty important next couple of hours for how we collectively feel about Chris Sale historically.
David Price didn't need too much to change everything.
You really think Coras reaction caused the redsox players to back off?Actually since Cora publicly embarrassed him.
Because the bullpen sucks and Sale at that point was just as good as anything Cora could have summoned.Yeah Sale should have been pulled after 5, and turned it over to Houck. I assumed that was the plan….why stick with Sale so long?
